Senate passes GOP tax bill after marathon voting session

The Senate early Saturday narrowly voted to pass an expansive $1.2 trillion tax reform bill.

The 51-49 vote on the nearly 500-page bill took place shortly before 2 a.m. after Democrats attempted a last-ditch amendment to stall the vote until Monday in order to read the bill.

Republican members broke out in enthusiastic applause as Vice President Mike Pence pounded the gavel and announce the bill’s passage at 1:51 a.m.

Donald Trump praised the news tweeting, “Look forward to signing a final bill before Christmas!”

    No one cares.
    Build the wall!
    That’s all we care about.

Which one – the Northern Wall? Going to need it sooner or later to keep out Justine’s Cdn. jihadis.

Well, a Great Northern Wall might impede any wars of liberation against the oppressive Trudeau Dynasty.
While we are on the subject, how many states would you want to be?
        I’m asking for a friend. 😉

I only want one state to join the U.S. and that is Alberta. We have a great deal in common with Alaska (even the grizzly bears agree) so could just be an extention. Also, Montana almost straight south to Texas is a good fit. Trust me you do not want anything to do with Ontario and points East in Canada.

Judging from the pics posted here, Alberta sure is Purty! Beautiful mountains & lakes.

My Mom & Brother had to detour from Dawson Creek, East thru Alberta this summer to get home after a trip to Kenai, due to all the forest fires in the Prince George area.

The highways South had reopened but no way to guarantee gas would be available. Needless to say they weren’t able to appreciate Alberta’s beauty, all worn out, truck covered with bugs and dodging small fires on the way!

Last summer was bad for forest fires and Calgary was choking on smoke for most of July. Alberta does have some nice scenery (not much water) but so do many of the western states and B.C. Alberta is a good fit with the U.S. because of our oil and gas and beef industries. We like pipelines, guns, cowboys, whiskey, religion and want to keep our western identity in spite easterners trying to dictate to us all the time. 🙂
