BBC faces storm of criticism for giving prime interview spot to US pundit Ann Coulter as she defends retweeting the Britain First post

Ann Coulter

The BBC has faced a storm of criticism after it gave a prime interview slot to a right-wing US commentator believed to be behind Donald Trump’s Britain First tweet.

The Today Programme interviewed Ann Coulter – who retweeted the far-right group’s video claiming to show a ‘Muslim migrant’ beating up a Dutch boy on crutches.

She is one of just 45 Twitter accounts the US President follows and it is thought Mr Trump spotted the video after spotting her endorsement.

Ain’t that a bitch, the posh set are all a flutter.
Yeah, the BBC can go suck eggs.

    Good news.
    Fortresses are breaking
down the easiest way from within.

As any woman in Power May is crying with the Woolfs but this time the Woolfs are Leftist Rats. A clear example of the usual toxic female Groupthinking,
Ann is an example that some woman can overcome it
from time to time, at least.

  • And the former President of the Liberal Party of Canada — Stephen LeDrew — who appeared on Fox’s Tucker Carlson show yesterday, is being sanctioned by CTV for appearing on Fox.

Ironically, one of the points that Tucker tried to make with LeDrew, is that Canada does not have free speech anymore, which LeDrew emphatically denied and spewed the Party line. Now he is being sanctioned in Canada by Canadian Media for simply engaging in the debate!

Thank-you LPC for proving our point even better than we can — Canadians do not in fact have free speech, and Canada obviously doesn’t even have a free press either.

    (Internet excepted — touch wood).

Who needs free speech when your betters are capable of telling you what to think?

If you can be put in jail for speech that is not a “terroristic threat” or imminent incitement to violence, you DO NOT have free speech anymore than the Soviet Union had free elections for party positions.
Try denying the Holocaust, and tell me how that goes.
I’m not saying that it’s nice, but you don’t have that right to say such an opinion in Canada.
Hey, you still might be better than the UK, but until Canada has a constitutional amendment mandating freedom of speech and then a judicial and political history of observing such protections, you absolutely do not have free speech.
      Full stop.

      • Actually I think you can deny the Holocaust in Canada — I seem to recall a case decided by the Supreme Court a number of years ago involving an infamous Holocaust denier (name escapes me, maybe a compatriot can help).

The stuff they have have recently legislated against, or trying to legislate against, is stuff like “Climate Denial”, the use of “gender-insensitive personal pronouns”, and criticism of Islam. You can actually be prosecuted for the latter. Not to mention arbitrary sanctions against abortion clinic protests, and a whole slew of other things. And a total political chokehold on the Mainstream Media, which is pretty much the ONLY media in Canada. Some free speech on Radio stations, but I’ve watched over the last decade how conservative and libertarian commentators are being bullied out of Radio too.

          You mean this guy?
          https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2010/03/01/holocaust_denier_ernst_zundel_released_from_prison.html
The Canadians were the first to throw him into prison for preaching holocaust denial.

          • I haven’t kept up with the case, and certainly won’t shed too many tears over Zundel. But you are absolutely correct DbN, even the worst of the worst should have the right to free speech (short of making death threats).

But this is a rather recent development (2010?) — I seem to recall that many years ago the SC ruled in Zundel’s favour. If anything this reflects the changing nature of our SC over the years — they are abandoning legal precedence and the fundamental rights and freedoms of our Constitution (Charter), in favour of communist “social justice”. And it starts with people like Zundel. It ends up with even their fellow sjw’s going to prison.

Oh “sanctioned”. Commenters at Ace’s had said “suspended” but when I Bing and Google searched for his name and ‘suspended’, I couldn’t find anything. And it was over appearing on evil Fox (that hasn’t been genuinely conservative let alone right wing in about 10 years) and not over anything he had said during the debate.

      • They don’t want a debate, period. Even if it’s favourable to them. The Liberals and their media proxies “govern” by fiat. It’s difficult to understand why they would even keep the moniker “Liberal” anymore — there’s not a drop of liberalism in that Party anymore.

Pierre Trudeau flipping in his grave? I doubt it.
Leftists agitate for free speech and open expression when it benefits them.
The instant they come into power and become the establishment, all that is swept away.
          Daddy would be proud.

Anne made a good point that those two BBC person didn’t have any proof the video was fake other than another video saying it was fake.
It’s like the people that still claim that the Moon landing was fake .
Anne doesn’t work at the UK News Station that ran the Video as real News….just like the Quebec mosque shooting where MUSLIMS inside told the police that 2 persons clad in black had spoke in arabic and fired AK-47’s and then fled…but later Justin demanded the CBC and a US media to delete the News item in the archive when the new narrative was a white male Christian that supported Trump .
