Quebec lawmakers pass motion calling on store clerks to use ‘bonjour’ greeting

It marks the end of the hybrid “bonjour/hi” that is often used as a greeting for customers.

Next weeks phrase is Allahu Akbar.

      I just read this. Sickening.
‘frisco, sounds like the kind of place trudope should be living. Maybe he/we could be lucky enough for him to catch a stray bullet from an illegal. Just to prove his “world citizen” bullshit.

Well, it’s official quebec is as officially fucked up as france. The whole country is going to hell, and the gov’t is worried how a store clerk greets a customer?
Us sane people need a place to call our own. A liberal free zone where common sense can flourish. Retards libérales québécois ne doivent pas s’appliquer

The French speakers have already almost mandated that Canadian federal bureaucrats must have come from Quebec given the dual linguist requirements of these jobs. I think it was on this blog where I read that the English language test for French speakers was far easier than the French language test for English speakers, essentially ensuring the dominance of Quebec-origin federal employees.

This ‘bonjour’ greeting thing is more thing that the French speakers will believe that will turn around the dominance of the English language in the whole world, and reintroduce the French language and culture as the lingua franca everywhere.

Are they fucking serious? How can this be enforced?

    • Alain

Ah, then you haven’t met the Tongue Troopers.

      • Justin St.Denis

Sounds kinda gross. Do they lick you into submission?

    • Mr. Meow

They’ll employ more government bureaucrats and they’ll pay them from marijuana tax money the province will start collecting next year. It’ll be called… the “Hi” tax

Let’s not get silly and confuse pythons and microchips…..

  • Tooth&Claw

Trying to enforce another speech code. Good gods, don’t legislators have better things to do than pass legislation that is on it’s face ridiculous?

    • Alain

You forget this IS Quebec. I suggest that as long as Muslims go all jihadist in French, they will be okay.

      • shasta

Quebec doesn’t have a monopoly on ridiculous legislators.

      • WildWelshWoman

I wonder what “Allah hu akbar” is in French…

  • BillyHW

If Quebecers hadn’t embraced abortion, and slaughtered their own children en masse, they would have had their own country now.

But now it’s too late for them.

    • Justin St.Denis

You many have a point there, Billy.

  • I have the right to converse in the language of my choice.

    “Hi”, it is.
