FUREY: Surely Morneau’s days as minister are numbered

The other week, a prominent Bay Street insider told me he couldn’t imagine Bill Morneau being the guy to table the next budget in 2018.

There’s just too much dogging the beleaguered finance minister to have him stand up in the House of Commons and command the confidence of the nation’s various sectors that look to his post as a source of stability.

I doubt that Justin’s ego would allow Moneybag Bill (Willy Porno) Morneau Canada’s minister for “insider trading” & Fiance to resign. It would give Andrew Scheer a moral victory against Justin. Besides the problem isn’t just one bad apple in the Liberal party but the entire bunch is rotten to the core.

    • True enough, they all need to go.

Every last federal politician. Then we can start fresh.

We’ll likely be stuck with them for a generation.

If he doesn’t trust anyone else to look after his “interests”, that shows a pretty realistic outlook.
Shiny Pony will tell him he’s gone when the oligarchs tell SP to dump him, not before.

I don’t honestly believe that anything untoward will happen to Morneau, as much as he deserves it. The Liberals have no ethics and do not believe in applying the rule of law to their cronies.

When the boy king announced his first cabinet, it looked to me that they were a collection of has-beens and airheads, with two possible exceptions: the Minister of Finance who came from a Bay Street career and the Minister of Defense who had been a serving member of the forces. Today, with benefit of hindsight, there were no exceptions!
