Canada grants refugee status in about 60% of illegal alien invader cases

Over half of the migrant asylum claims heard by Canadian refugee officials this year have been successful.

New figures released by the federal Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) show that of 1,572 claims heard so far, 941 have been granted.

The IRB has a backlog of 12,895 cases currently pending.

Canada has seen a spike recent months of migrants crossing illegally into the country via the US and making asylum claims.

The new figures look at claims received by the IRB from “irregular border crossers” between February and October of this year.

Those made by migrants from Syria, Eritrea, Yemen, Sudan, Djibouti and Turkey were the most likely to be accepted.

That’s right! You don’t have to worry about all that paper work and immigration requests in other countries. Just show up at the border! AND EVERYTHING IS FREE HERE!! Meanwhile our little prince is in Labrador today apologizing again. The media is reporting that he will be making two apologies. One for residential school victims, and one for the actions of Hitler Harper. Hitler Harper didn’t apologize, because Nfld/Labrador wasn’t part of Canada at the time of the schools.

Thank goodness the 40% who are not approved will stay here anyways. Hopefully with all the $40 billion in new housing that has been promised for them all they will vote Liberal in the next election!

    • Observer

They can’t legally vote, but then that didn’t stop the Liberals from busing them to the polls to vote in 2015.

Will Justin insist that USA pay for that border fence?

    • Alain

No, but I would like to see Trump demand that Canada pay for it.

  • Jay Harper

The minute they reached the safety of the US, they ceased being refugees.

    • Alain

Ah, you are guilty of thinking that Liberals follow and abide by laws and agreements and use logic.

Related – don’t qualify as a refugee then you can always buy your way into Canada for $50,000 (end cost but usually refunded) using the provincial nomination program. Works really well in PEI due to high failure rate of small business. Kind of a gov’t approved money laundering as it seems no tax is paid on the money brought into the country, just refunded after a period of time?

The Marxist no borders theme song!

  • Marius K

The successful entrepreneurial immigrant contributing to society that was so long ago.

side question : when the society is falling apart why would anyone would be willing to contribute anything , never mind a “fair share” ?

  • WalterBannon

The IRB should be shut down and all its staff be fired and charged with malfeasance

  • Lightstream

Justine sure loves those muslims. Judging by his immigration policies he must be a muslim.

  • Canadian Born

Does anyone believe the lying Liberals? None of these people will be sent back and I’ll bet my bottom dollar on it, because that is what I will have left, after paying taxes to support these leeches.

I pass by a Salvation Army hostel several times a week in Vancouver. [Belkin house at 555 Homer St)

Virtually all of the people I see sitting inside the common area facing the street are Syrians and Africans while there are several Canadian born people sleeping
along the wall outside in the rain every night.

When that boat showed up on the coast of Vancouver Island full of Tamils
the Salvation army booted out over 100 people to make room for them
forcing the city to scramble to rent rooms in shitty cockroach and bedbug ridden
    hotels in the DTES.

Not a peep out of the so called “Homeless advocates” they just let it happen
    and the city facilitated it.

    • Alain

Gee, that is so disappointing, because I thought the Salvation Army was one of the few charities doing good work and worthwhile donnating to.

      • lolwut? (Deplorable Hoser)

They focus on things that bring in the most money.
Salvation Army has been pretty corrupt for a long time.

They are in the business of staying in business like most of the big charities.
