Parents of alleged ISIL member ‘Jihadi Jack’ plead with Canadian MPs to help free him from Syria

Jack Letts’ parents say the British-Canadian man never joined ISIL and has condemned their atrocities. The dual citizen was captured in May after escaping Raqqa.

Well, its to be hoped little Justin cuts him a cheque for 10 million dollars, before he leaves for China.

  • tom_billesley

” ,,,, the British government seems to have withdrawn from the file”
Will Justin resist that invitation to step in and surreptitiously pay release fees?

  • Ed

Just woke up in Raqqa one day. Could happen to anybody.

  • David_Martin

Not to worry – Justin will dispatch his Canadian Forces Govt jet to pick the kid up after lobbying the Syrians to release him (Chretien will dust off the Khadr paperwork used to free Omar’s daddy – all they have to do is change the name).
When he gets home a Canada Goose parka and a cheque for $10.5 million CAD will be waiting – to help him get his life on track.
    On a more serious note:
All this BS can be avoided – no more dual citizenship. Canadian Govt should pass legislation – travel to an enemy country during a time of war – no assistance from Canadian Govt + join enemy forces during that time – treason charge upon return to Canada.

  • Bernie

Issue is tremendously simple. Join with any organization that has vowed to destroy Western Countries and face a Treason Charge. On conviction, the sentence shall be execution.

Why don’t we have the death penalty for parents like this? Oh wait, I know, because women get to vote.

  • tom_billesley

They didn’t reuse this picture. Perhaps he doesn’t look Canadian enough.

  • DaninVan

Nothing says it better than that old admonition, “Live by the sword; die by the sword.”
Isn’t it the Kurds who are holding his sorry White ass?
Maybe they could trade him for Nationhood…

    • WalterBannon

I hope the Kurds kill him, and pronto, before that douche Trudope intervenes for this terrorist.

  • Tooth&Claw

He’s an adult, he went of his own free will into a country at war. No sympathy for him. Some for his parents. Some mistakes are just some you don’t recover from easily. This is one.

  • Jaedo Drax

If only there was a law that allowed the government to remove his citizenship.
