LGBTQ advocates want military, RCMP, public service to take part in apology

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau should not be the only one to say sorry for state-sanctioned discrimination against LGBTQ people, say advocates who have long demanded the federal government apologize for years of persecution.

Lynne Gouliquer, a military veteran who has researched the history of how LGBTQ people were hounded out of their jobs in the military and the federal government, said she wants to see the heads of the institutions responsible take part in the Nov. 28 apology in the House of Commons.

Entire Baltimore Neighborhood Under Lockdown: “Police Declared Martial Law”

Five days ago, Det. Sean Suiter, a married father of five and an 18-year veteran with the Baltimore Police, was patrolling the streets of West Baltimore around 5pm last Wednesday when he saw suspicious activity. Suiter approached a man and was shot point blank in the head, in a summary execution. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he later died of his injuries.

In response, Baltimore Police reacted with ‘fire and fury’ turning the neighborhood where Suiter was shot into an “open-air prison”, shutting down city streets and enabling checkpoints for citizens while officers in tactical gear went door to door, according to Baltimore Brew. Residents were prohibited from entering their own neighborhood unless they showed proper identification, these extreme measures have been in place for 4-5 days.

Trudeau’s peacekeeping announcement was a whole lot of nothing

After musing about going to Mali, thinking about helping out in South Sudan and endlessly waxing poetic about how peacekeeping is so vital to Canada’s national identity, Trudeau has instead decided to do virtually nothing.

Rather than announcing a commitment to a specific peacekeeping mission (Trudeau promised up to 600 troops and 150 police officers) Canada’s government will create a 200-person rapid reaction force to be deployed… somewhere to be determined.

Turkey Islamizes Denmark with More Mosques

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan clearly sees Turks living in the West as a spearhead of Islam.

This year, he told Turks living in the West: “Go live in better neighborhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the best houses. Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you.”

T.A. accuses university of censoring gendered pronoun discussion

A grad student and teaching assistant at Wilfrid Laurier University says the administration is trying to stifle critical thinking, after she was reprimanded for showing students a video discussion on gendered pronouns involving controversial professor Jordan Peterson.

Lindsay Shepherd says she was disciplined by the university earlier this month for showing students a clip of Peterson debating gendered pronouns with a scholar in sexual diversity studies. She had argued in a disciplinary discussion, which she secretly recorded, that “all perspectives are valid” in a university setting. One of the two professors in the recording responds by telling her “that’s not necessarily true.”

    RE: Baltimore:
“We haven’t been able to get our mail for four days,” said the woman with her, Samantha, 50, who also asked not be identified. “Is the city going to pay the late fees on my bills?”
Police checkpoints set up filtering out non-residents, resident complains that she is unable to get her mail. So, is a police checkpoint stationed between her door and her mail box, and even if it is why does she not think they would let her pass? Is it a fear of the debunked ‘hands-up, don’t shoot’ police execution of blacks; is it the worry they might check if she has active warrants for her arrests; is she actually registered as a resident of that area and not registered some other place where she gets her mail delivered?

    RE: Mali and Justine
The 200 rapid reaction force troops are there to provide protection for the other 400 troops and 150 Canadian police, who as ‘peacekeeping’ troops will be unarmed and not supplied with any military supplies that would enable them to fight back against an attack. These 200 rapid reaction troops themselves will be unarmed, but their purpose is to distract attackers with their own bodies until the next quarterly UN Security Council meeting where an investigative commission will be set up to investigate the deaths of 600 Canadian troops and 150 Canadian police.

The media is reporting that the Super Socks government is making plans to handle the flood of Haitians that well be showing up at the border, now that Trump is ending the temporary sanctuary program. Yes, we better rent more heated trailers for the 60 thousand Haitians showing up.

    • Ottawa Eyes

It’s time to put 60,000 Haitians to the front of the line along with the Syrian (and soon Rohingya) refugees, for care homes, seniors residences and public housing ahead of the Canadians who have been on the lists for up to 12 years, waiting for available spaces.

That’s the Liberal way, though the tories have been at times guilty of this too.

  • Tom Forsythe

The big question raised by the Wilfred Laurier University recording is “what subjects ARE open for debate?” Not climate change, race, IQ, feminism, or even trans issues.

Trannies had only been an issue for about five minutes before they invoked closure and declared all dissent to be a violation of human rights. Even if the left is 100% correct, it is insane to expect everyone else to be able to sort through the moral complexities and arrive at exactly the same conclusion.

    • kkruger71

And this shows what is particularly dangerous about the ideology and laws being passed around it; that debate she showed clips of was a panel with Peterson where they were debating the law in the first place. When even debating whether a law should be in place or not is in itself illegal, then there is never a way to back off from bad choices made. No law should ever be passed that by extension protects itself from public criticism and review.

“Even if the left is 100% correct…”

      They’re not.

      • WalterBannon

Its hard to be 100% correct, when they are 100% wrong…

Winter must be coming. Liberal politicians are fleeing the country on taxpayer funded trips. Not only is Trudeau heading for China for a photo op, but Wynne also is heading for China. I guess Mexico will have to settle for the Canadian jobs they have already stolen, as Wynne and Trudeau team up to hand over the remaining jobs to China.

    • tom_billesley

Remember that China must also be compensated for taking responsibility for the carbon footprint of those Canadian jobs.

As a citizen, I’d like to say I’m sorry those institutions didn’t do more to purge our society of those groups, since they are working to undermine our nation.

When is Turdo going to apologize for Liberals stealing taxpayers money?

    • tom_billesley

He has difficulty with the concept of money that isn’t the government’s.

    • ontario john

But the media is reporting that the federal government wants to dramatically increase taxes on smokes, because they care about our health. It has nothing to do with a tax grab.

      • Watchman

Sin taxes like those on alcohol and tobacco are easy to raise, but the government really doesn’t want people to stop partaking of these products due to the cost because the government makes so much money out of these taxes.

    • Watchman

Stealing it? Under Turdeau’s favourite government system (Chinese Communist dictatorship) the state owns all recompense of a worker’s efforts (generally called ‘wages’), and generously allows this worker to retain some part of it and keeps the rest (this part is called ‘income tax’). Every Canadian wage earner should be sending thanks to Turdeau for allowing them to keep as much of their wages as he does.

Re : T.A. accuses university . . . – There are two “apology” open letters on the front page of Laurier university’s web site right now and they’re worth a read. The Director’s letter is usual administrative bafflegab, Deborah MacLatchy isn’t President and Vice-Chancellor for nothing, she excels in the art of saying nothing while taking a page to do it. Nathan Rambukkana’s, the professor who led the struggle session, letter is far more interesting. While a fair amount of crow is seemingly eaten in the letter, neither address the cultural marxist, SJW, leftist elephant in the room that has poisoned university campuses for the last 50 years. This is what Jordan Peterson attacks head on and why they hate him so.
