Vast Indigenous Land Claims in Canada Encompass Parliament Hill

Whenever Prime Minister Justin Trudeau or his cabinet ministers speak in certain parts of Ontario or Quebec, they begin by acknowledging they are on “unceded Algonquin territory.”

I was at a ceremony where they said that and I said to my wife that she should have said You’re Welcome.

How could there be battles and changing ownership? North America was Eden before the white man came.

Parliament Hill would look great with rusted out cars, smoke shacks, and graffiti on the buildings. Perhaps they could set up a 55 million dollar inquiry to study the issue.

And it would look even better if its current occupants were forced to STAY there…

    • It’s already a craphole, so …

    No problem.
We need to construct a new 21st century federal capital for our ever busy vote whoring tribe of idiots anyway.
Somewhere along the Manitoba – Ontario border. That spot where it changes direction and makes a beeline for Hudson Bay seems ideal for such a facility.

Dear Indians, you owned the place for 14500 years. You did nothing with it. Be happy we didn’t kill all of you. Now shut up and either stay on the res or leave it and become a useful citizen of Canada.

    Sincerely,

    The ROC

Settled people own property and things. Neolithic peoples roam around picking up things they see lying around.

Nice to see how far we’ve come.

Fascinating reading, especially about the Whiteducks of the Kitigan Zibi reserve. It evokes memories of Boomer, the lion cub who thought he was a housecat. Poor little Boomer was captured by the Quebec MNR after being sheltered on the reserve (he was at risk of being taken out of his Ontario home by welll-meaning authorities). Although he spent some time in psychiatric therapy at the Granby Zoo, he was eventually transferred to a private facility in BC. If anyone knows what has happened to him, please let us know. He happens to be a rare Barbary lion.

Well then, if it’s “unceded Algonquin territorry”, I’ve been paying property taxes on Algonquin land for 30 years. I’d like my $100k back. Justin, where do I send the bill?

Actuallly the reserve near me put in a land claim here in Alberta. They are claiming two towns and over 60 farms.

I have no doubt that the feds will screw us.

I cun see da logik. If terrorist muzzies get millions out of Justine why cant theys?

I heard on the news today, that Indians in Alberta are trying to get names of well known locations changed to indian names. They already got one location changed.

Canada, you are being lied to and scammed by your Indians.
Tell them to go to hell.

The gaming of YT for cash by the whiney “FN” will never stop. Until we stop it. End of.

And if it was still their territory, we’d be living in the stone age.

    • Maggat

      Come on, pre-stone age.

  • simus1

Thinking small again. If all FNs “returned to islam”, the UN would be happy to give them title to the whole country. Divided carefully along recognized by all tribal boundaries, bien sur.

The bloody indians can have Ottawa, on the condition that all on ‘the hill’ stay there.

  • DMB

They can have Mississauga back. It is a dump anyways!
