Paedophile avoids jail because of bad back

John Chappell, who has a number of previous convictions for child abuse, admitted indecently assaulted the girls in the mid 1970s.

But the 60-year-old was given a suspended sentence after the judge accepted that his back problems would cause him “considerable discomfort” in prison.

Back before women voted these evil degenerates would have gotten a bullet in the back of the head behind the barn.

n = 1 and he wouldn’t even be a judge if women didn’t vote. Also all the laws would be different. You’re still not getting it.

Give me the stats as to women vs men who voted for him.

Apparently, given this ruling, I’m now bullet proof. LOL

Talk about a screwed up judicial system.

“80% of all people suffer from back problems during their life, but some sufferers of back problems are more equal than others.” was found written on the wall of Mr Jones’ old farm,

Not even home arrest with an ankle monitor? Thats insane

I don’t understand how they even got a conviction? The offences occurred half a century ago; isn’t there a Statute of Limitations on crimes like this?
Seems like here in Canada perps get off (no pun intended) if they’re not allowed a pee break during interrogations.
OK, I get the duress thing but throwing out the charges? Smack down the interrogator if necessary, but don’t let the perps walk over bs excuses.
In the case of Mr. Badback, it’ll hurt just as much at home as in the pen.

…”back problems” in jail? Too many other cons will be riding his ass?

  • tom_billesley

Back problems may be relieved by traction (neck suspension is one way to do this).

His back problem was from being bent over while trying top hold the little boys in place.
