In the years prior to the Sanders campaign, the DSA’s number of card-carrying members hovered around 6,500 — and has nearly quintupled since 2016’s presidential race to more than 30,000.

  • Notice that they’re Democratic Socialists, not Social Democrats. Big difference. It means that they are Socialists through and through, using democracy to achieve power. Once in power they really have no use for democracy any more, so the main purpose is to subvert democracy from within in order to remain in power permanently.

    Canada’s NDP are likewise Democratic Socialists.
