Liberal Academic: Calling Those Convicted of Child Rape ‘Pedophile’ is Prejudice

According to Kimberley Brownlee, a philosopher at the University of Warwick, even the term “criminal” must be stopped when it’s used to describe a person who has committed a crime because it’s “politically incorrect.”

Good then, what I’d like see done to her would would not be criminal.

“who’ll go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin’, hillbilly boy? I ain’t through with you by a damn sight. I’ma get medieval on your ass.”

      • Shebel

        I remember that movie.

  • clownloach

They sort of look related .

  • tom_billesley

I’d guess “terrorist” is also on her banned word list.

    • DaninVan

That’s a bit strange, Tom, the Abbotsford area is quite conservative in the religious sense. A lot of Europeans, and more lately Hindus*, call it home.
If I was looking for a source of her discontent, I’d be looking here…
“When I was 16, I went to study at Lester B. Pearson United World
College on Vancouver Island, in the International Baccalaureate
      programme.”

*the Fraser Valley is heavily agricultural

      • just_one_Sewer Rat_guy

When was the last time you were there? Last time I went through Abbotsford, one day was all I could stomach. Couldn’t get out fast enough. Sorry to my old school mate that lives there though.

        • DaninVan

          Last Summer.
I have to admit though, it’s changed dramatically.
What in particular did you find shocking?
For folks not familiar with the Fraser Valley, this is where Police Officer John Davidson was killed last week.

          • just_one_Sewer Rat_guy

It’s been probably 3 or 4 years since my last venture to Abbt, so maybe it’s changed radically since then? I don’t know…
It wasn’t “shocking” so much as the mentality there. Listening to people talk, I was wondering if they even made it past gr5. There was zero common sense to anything they were talking about.

          • Shebel

Were they speaking a different language ?

          • DaninVan

Heh…several of them, but definitely a lot of Hindi. To be fair, we weren’t trying to engage anyone in a political discussion.
Living in a rural yet ‘progressive’ locality as I do, I’m immune to

            their gibberish (progspeak I mean).
But I don’t think that’s what S.R.G. was referring to; probably more like never having been exposed to critical thinking?

  • Maybe this stupid woman has committed crimes and acts of pedophilia.

    • BillyHW

      Her biggest crime is voting.

      • Voting is not a crime, if one is a legitimate citizen of the country, as women are in Canada. Being against women voting, as you are, is rather the crime. Misogyny is a fault, not a virtue.

    • I remember a number of us here were predicting this mere months ago, and it was almost “tin-foil-hat” conspiracy stuff back then. And here we are already. Things are moving very rapidly Avi, in terms of how evil is gripping the minds of many. I imagine you have noticed it too.

      • Yes, and I do believe inside every postmodernist nut there resides some personal evil that explains his or her opting for postmodernism. It is not an innocent choice.

  • Ed

“…Brownlee, educated at McGill, Cambridge, and Oxford…”

    Here. Fixed it.

“…Brownlee, “educated” at McGill, Cambridge, and Oxford,…”

    • Yes, “trained” like a plant into the present twisted mental shape.

  • HalcyonDaze

    So she’s a philosopher?

IIRC isn’t philosopher the term used to describe a narcissist with an overly developed sense of self worth and no discernible skills or talents.

I apparently was wrong when I thought the real ones of these things went extinct with Plato? But, since these people and their opinions are pretty much irrelevant she’s actually no better than a blogger who can’t figure out how to use the internet and as such should be dismissed as nothing more important than a pimple on a gnats ass.

    • moraywatson

A true philosopher has to use logic to put their hypotheses to the test. Real philosophers espouse possibilities, and then reconcile them with observed reality in order to determine their probability of occurrence. A true philosopher would have no agenda, as having an agenda amplifies bias in interpreting observed reality.

      This woman has an agenda.

    • She’s a philosopher like Tariq Ramadan is an intellectual. Lol.

  • Shebel

Is it OK to call her a ‘stunned cunt’ ?

    • just_one_Sewer Rat_guy

Perfectly fine IMO…. If the shoe fits.

      • Shebel

        It doesn’t . I was just asking.

  • moraywatson

Everyone is capable of sinning. But doing something wrong once is not the same thing as repeating the sin and seeking out opportunities to do so. Making the two morally-equivalent is to suggest that humans are not capable of being responsible for their actions.

    • felis gracilis

      Excellent comment, moray.

    • Shebel

      Are you talking about Politicians?
      ie: Justin

  • Tooth&Claw

She’s an educated idiot. Nuff said. Granted she’d be upset with my description of her, tough nuts.

  • BillyHW

Kathy Shaidle is right: Women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

  • Allan

fuck off and die already. Liberal twat.

    • A Hamilton Guy

Leave it alone: Billy just thinks like the women he doesn’t want to vote. With blinders on.

  • Prejudice? Really?

Asteroids: what are things we really need, Alex!

  • Millie_Woods

I used to wonder why revolutionaries rounded up ‘intellectuals’ and executed them.

    • Shebel

Guess, I won’t have been shot.

  • Hard Little Machine

It’s only rape if she’s not dead first

  • I find this rather interesting. In principle, much of what she says is, I think, valid, and correlates with the noble Christian exhortation to condemn the sin but not the sinner.

However, in typical Lefty fashion, she demonstrates a breathtaking inability to grasp how such concepts relate to the real world, in which we must all take responsibility for our actions; and how detrimental it actually is to the spirit of the sinner for society to pretend he has not actually sinned. Not to mention the detriment to the society.

I don’t know if “intellectual” Lefties still drink Perrier Water, but if they do there must be something in those bottles that dissolves their basic critical faculties.

    • A Hamilton Guy

Is that, slowly but surely, their brains fuck up? If they haven’t already.
