Duke University offers scholarship that excludes heterosexual students
The Carolinas LGBT Scholarship Fund is awarded annually to a Duke University student who “identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender,” according to the university’s website.
The scholarship is awarded based on financial need and “the potential for student involvement in the LGBT community.”
Tell a Big Lie and Keep Repeating It
If you want to tell a big lie, a good vehicle is “science.” Like a wolf hiding in a sheep’s skin, lies hide in lab coats worn by liars with Ph.Ds. We are gullible because science and scientists have a positive image. The positive image belongs to the science of the past, before the entrepreneurial idea of inventing fake catastrophes to attract vast sums of government money.
When a lie is backed by millions of government dollars, it is difficult for the truth to compete. The truth comes from scientists not corrupted by money, and from small organizations dependent on private donations. The truth is outgunned by government financed propaganda mills. The promoters of fake catastrophe depict themselves as disinterested idealists. The promoters of the truth are depicted as servants of evil industries, or as mentally disturbed crackpots.
Tell the UN to stop blacklisting our journalists
The United Nations just banned Rebel Media journalists again, blacklisting us from covering the upcoming UN global warming conference in Bonn, Germany.
Just like they tried to do last year.
It’s obvious why: there are thousands of “journalists” who cover these UN global warming conferences. But they’re actually cheerleaders. They never hold the bureaucrats and politicians to account. They go to promote the UN’s agenda, whether it’s carbon taxes or subsidies to “green energy” crony capitalists.
Democrats Deeply Divided on Transgender Issues, Pew Survey Finds
The divide between Republicans and Democrats runs deep. The Pew Research Center recently released the results of a new study that demonstrates how wide that divide is when it comes to transgender issues.
While the survey is not really surprising, there are a few results that are of particular interest.
Quebec’s Bill 62 splits federal Liberals amid calls to ignore court challenge
Quebec’s face-covering law is exposing divisions among federal Liberals, with staunch defenders of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms on one side and a large number of Quebec MPs who fear becoming political casualties of the contentious debate on the other.
Several Liberal MPs are calling on the government to stay out of the coming court challenge to the law, including some of the most vocal opponents of Bill 62 in caucus.
The Trudeau government has responded with a carefully calibrated response: stating that women have the right to dress as they want, while refusing to be drawn into an open confrontation with the provincial government.
