Rex Murphy: There is no company Liberals will not keep in pursuit of climate action

“I wouldn’t join any club that would have me as a member,” ace wisecracker Groucho Marx famously said. As with any durable putdown, contained within its smart-ass punch is a worthy insight, the wisdom of the tamer proverb: “You can tell a person’s character by the company he keeps.”

Climate Barbie is an idiot. She has no qualifications and got her job becsuse little potatoe want 50% women.

  • Linda1000

She will never get rid that name now. It’s stuck to her like glue.

    • She might as well make it her new name.

      • Linda1000

The funny part is that the name actually suits her because she looks so similar to Barbie playing dress-up and the dumb tweets don’t help either.

And good on her too. Reminds me of a few gals I knew in high school. They were only smart on paper, in reality they were vacuous and superficial.

BTW, Justin missed a meeting of the other nine (IIRC) heads of government at the TPP talks because he was meeting with Facebook executives instead. Remember when the MSM went ape that Harper was late for a G8 (or 20?) group photo?

  • It started with Stephane Dion when he ran for Liberal PM, and his precursor platform “The Green Shift”. The Global Climate thing has been politically manufactured from the get-go — it was a conscious political “shift”, not an environmental phenomenon that was actually occurring in nature.

It’s obvious that Socialists were searching for a new “master theory” — an all-encompassing ideological model, still based on Marxism and the principle of permanent victimhood, hence justifying fascistic control of the population as always, but with a new victim and under a new brand name. The victim being the natural environment, which ipso facto is global in nature. And the perpetrator being Global Warming and the humans who are politically-defined as being responsible for it.

It was designed to be a “unifying theory”, in other words something everybody across the world should support, and hence a solution to all the ills of the world because it should bring everybody together. Utopian, of the Marxist/Socialist/Communist brand. From that perspective it makes perfect sense that socialists would abandon the fight against tangible enemies such as ISIS, the Jihad, etc. in the Middle East, and replace them with an abstract and ideologically-based enemy called Global Climate Change.

In addition to the phony science which many experts have pointed out, the most obvious flaw is the idea that humans can somehow control the outdoor climate. Humans can control the indoor climate — we have air conditioners, furnaces, humidifiers/dehumidifiers etc. And we can isolate ourselves indoors from anything happening outdoors, such as bugs, and weeds, and critters, and weather.

But you can’t do the same with the outdoor environment — the awesome power of nature will always win out in a contest with humans. Humans do not have God-like control over the natural environment, the weather, the climate, etc., and we never will.

Must be part of the Agenda 21 new world order platform. What about David Suzuki and his crusade. Maybe Dion got drunk with Lizzie May and she gave him the green push. I mostly remember Green Peace attacking fishing boats, World Wildlife Fund literature and the climate godfather Al Gore. When did the UN and DAVOS get so involved for the money grab.
