Syria’s Entry Into The Paris Agreement Shows The U.S. Rightly Stayed Out

The questions people should really be asking are why Syria joined the Paris agreement and why it chose to do so now, two years after the agreement was first adopted.

It’s all over the news: Syria has joined the Paris climate agreement, leaving the United States as the only country in the world that is not a signatory. Many observers and commentators are using this as an opportunity to chastise America for holding out where a roundly abhorred government has given in. But the questions people should really be asking are why Syria joined the Paris agreement and why it chose to do so now, two years after the agreement was first adopted. The answer is simple. Syria is seeking international legitimacy.

She thought it was a swell idea!

If only the Americans were as virtuous as the Syrians and Nicaraguans.
    If only!

    • Alain

I am very thankful they are not.

      • Lightstream

        Me too.

  • ontario john

Meanwhile Ontario is going into the deep freeze today with snow squalls. When is this global warming supposed to start?

    • Surele Surele

I’m ready. we’ve just installed AC! Honest. Wait….

    • Jaedo Drax

we are expecting 5 to 15 cm of global warming tonight

She’d be raped pretty fucking quickly by these Syrians she courts. This is virtue signaling at it’s finest and deadliest.

If she could parlay that rape into more political influence, she might be fine with that. The really bad part is that she has no problem parlaying the rape and murder of our wives and daughters into more political power either.

Climate Barbie probably doesn’t even know which street Syria is on.

Make that Climate Bimbo and I’ll agree.

  • DMB

What “better” way of a nation to show their commitment to eliminating their carbon footprint through a brutal and bloody internal war. The Liberals must truly admire Syria’s commitment to fighting climate change. This is why Canada’s self imposed Stupid “super” hero’s are ready to tackle this issue.

    • mobuyus

Is that the snowflake bible on that coffee table in front of those two morons?

  • Rasputin’s rosary

Who wouldn’t sign up to get even more US taxpayer money? That is all that “agreement” is, it is a promise by us to pay 100 billion a year into other countries.

    • Alain

Hey, no problem since our puppet PM will no doubt make up for what the Americans won’t pay. We are just rolling in money here; well, that is except for working normal Canadians.

  • Lightstream

Canada should get out of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations.

    • Tooth&Claw

      From your lips….

  • Watchman

Of course countries such as China and India signed an agreement that they would do have to do nothing to restrict their carbon emissions: they know that all they have to do is plead ‘developing country’ as an excuse for any increase in emissions, regardless of how large, and point to tiny ineffectual measures as proof of their commitment for the future. On the other hand, were the US to stay in, they would be hounded by every other country including China and India to continue reducing carbon dioxide emissions until the USA was forced to be an subsistence agrarian society that had to import every manufactured item from China and India.

This is really not an environmental issue, it’s politics about power (literally) and who gets to dictate who can make stuff, have babies, be forced to take on other countries excess population. I’ll start to believe that it is about the environment when the leaders of every signatory country starts acting like it is a critical issue instead of a issue of jockeying for power in the world and controlling their populace.

“Climate Barbie” strikes again. Ditzy broad.

She is handed a very minimal script.
      She recites it.
She then rests to gather strength for her next meeting with the eco clowns or well connected rent seekers.
      Quite the high wire act.
