Are ISIS-supporting parents indoctrinating their children through homeschooling?

Counter-terrorism and government experts have called for more stringent homeschooling laws. They have revealed that dozens of girls have been placed in court-appointed care after being identified as at risk of radicalization.

At a conference last week, Ofsted Chief Operating Officer Matthew Coffey warned that more than 30,000 children were classed as being educated at home in 2014-15, slipping under the radar as their parents were not obliged to alert local authorities.

Article is from the UK, which is distinctly less supportive of home schooling that Canada or the USA. The real goal of the article is to demonize the homeschooling; it has nothing to do with ISIS-style terrorism. What really gets up their nose is any time people are not getting indoctrinated by a government program. Mass-schooling is really only about 100 years old–schools existed before that, of course but attendance was voluntary and they tended to be run by churches and not the State. The idea of government-run, compulsory, schooling is quite recent and is purely for the convenience of the State and not for the benefit of the individuals.
