Facing up to the harsh truth about the Islamic State

The IS brand of Islam institutionalizes sexism, misogyny, homophobia, racism, sectarianism and slavery. It’s a barbaric credo.

Incorrect, the IS brand of Islam is pure Islam in action. There is no “brand”, it is Islam.

So right, the Salafi, Sunni, Shia, Wahabi, Ismaili, Ahmadiyyah – what difference is there except for the names as they’re all very proud to follow the same koran.

Islam follows the example and teaching of their prophet Mohammed. An evil, bloodthirsty, sex mad , pedophile, rapist , slaver, and mass murderer.
You don’t expect chicken eggs out of a snake.

Like all cults, Islam has an outer circle of nominal adherents who know little about it and an inner circle who know it all, with layers in between.

Those in the outer circle present a normal face that outsiders can relate to. Some outsiders are drawn in. Then there is pressure to go to the next level and the next. It’s an effective arrangement. If the inner circle were the public face of Islam it would repel normal people like a bad smell (although it would attract the abnormal, the ghouls). Normal people have to get used to the smell gradually.

The problem for Islam is modern communications. Some of the IS insiders are actually stupid enough and arrogant enough to present the real face of Islam in a way which is readily accessible to outsiders (eg Dabiq magazine).

By exposing the inner circle they attract the ghouls – and that may seem like a win in the short term – but they also repel the normal people, and that’s a losing equation.
