Jonathan Kay Reads Simon Schama’s History of the Jews, Draws the Wrong Conclusion

Scaramouche read it so we didn’t have to.

Like all idiots who want to appear thoughtful, Jonathan Kay leaves me with the mixed feelings of sympathy and contempt.

Imagine what his poor mother must feel.

After listening to Schama at the Munk debate I’d be hard pressed to take his word on anything.

How I hated that sneering lisping faggot.

The Muzz are not the new Jews, they’re the new Nazis. No sense hoping that Schama or Kay or the Dhimmi Post will ever learn their lesson.

    • This is almost identical to the photo a German journalist posted on Facebook, which got him locked up for a “hate crime”. Watch out, Martin B. Don’t go on holiday to Germany.

‘The prosecution had accused Stürzenberger of “inciting hatred towards
Islam” and “denigrating Islam” by publishing the photo. A superficial
onlooker, the prosecution argued, could not know that this black and
white photo in Stürzenberger’s timeline was a historical document.’

So, journalists are to be judged by, and Society predicated on, what a moronic “superficial onlooker” might see on a Facebook page?

Or is it that the Authorities are concerned that less superficial onlookers might see a clear comparison with Merkel cosying up to Islam?

The problem is almost all of academia no longer functions as it should. They no longer pursue truth to the best of their ability; use it to draw conclusions about the past and perhaps learn lessons that can be applied to the future. They, instead, have a theory and sift through data and select items, which may or may not be true but can be attributed to another “scholar” and use this to push the theory, which usually has a huge political component.

To claim that Muslims are the “new Jews” is so far off base, it becomes intellectual quackery. The persecuted Jews of Europe did not murder innocent civilians by the thousands, and did not run totalitarian-state governments, the way Islam does today. I agree with you that hucksters has taken hold of thr arts and social sciences today,

Btw, Jonathan Kay is still gunning for a good-paying job at a fat-cat liberal media outlet (the Star, the Globe, CBC News?), after losing his editorship at the fast-sinking Walrus magazine. Therefore the ridiculous swill — claiming Muslims are the new Jews. This type of moral rot pays well at the big, left-leaning media. Kay is in it for the money.

Those “many dark passages in Deuteronomy” are followed two chapters later by the prediction of return to the homeland that remarkably resembles the contemporary Zionist enterprise, including the prediction that Israel’s enemies will suffer the same curses that Jews experienced in exile. (Syria, anyone?)
