I Think Therefore I Really Am…

It’s time to modify Descartes’s famous line I think therefore I am.  It should now read I think I am, therefore I am.  The original is no longer relevant, because if thinking was a condition of existence, there would not be many people left in our part of the world.

Proof can be found on the front page of the National Post of October 24th, 2017.  “Women’s prison left to cope after getting male inmate who identifies as female.”

  • When Western Civilization collapses, the transgender BS will be one of the reasons.

    • I think so.

It’s the kind of thinking behind the transgender BS and all the other “intersectionalities” that will be most of the reason.

Reminds me of this old one: Cogito cogito ergo cogito sum—”I think that I think, therefore I think that I am.”

So, “I think that I think I am a unicorn, therefore I think that I am one.”

    • Reminds me of a wonderful cartoon called the Perishers that ran in the UK Daily Mirror when I was a lad. The main characters were a scruffy little orphan boy called Wellington and his even scruffier big smelly dog called Boot, who lived in a disused railway station somewhere.

Boot was a bit of a philosopher and in one strip he was sitting outside staring at the moon. In the speech bubbles were the following thoughts:

      “I think, therefore I am.”

      “I think. ??”

“But if I only think I think, how do I know I am?”

He then fell over with his legs sticking in the air and stars going round his head.
