The Establishment Flunkies Flunk Out

All human institutions are essentially a reboot of high school, and within the political scene the Never Trumpers are convinced that they are the cool kids despite being the chess club of American politics. No, they aren’t the cool kids.

They’re geeks, they haven’t won a tournament in years and, more importantly, they’re the freaking chess club.

Heh! I was in the chess club in high school and we were the cool kids.
All the “schmucks” were in student government.

All this was after my time I see, since none of this existed in my high school at the time. There certainly was NO student government or any of the other crap one finds now. Of course in those days history, actual history, was taught as a separate subject and Latin was mandatory. Greek however was optional. There were no “social studies” but lots of math, science and even in language classes one studied the great classics of several nationalities and had to know grammar, syntax, punctuation and correct spelling. Hand writing had to be acceptable and plenty of other requirements. Oh, and even though we had no “sex ed.” none of us had the slightest problem figuring it out including birth control and to avoid VD or what is now called STDs.
