Living In Trump Country USA

For those of you who haven’t heard, Mary and I moved from Florida to a tiny town in West Virginia to be closer to our parents. We are experiencing wonderful culture shock. I am not a fan of the winding mountain roads. Supermarket and hardware stores are over 20 miles away. And yet, we unexpectedly love our new heavenly haven of Americana.

Lloyd’s writing and expression is first rate. My spouse and I abandoned a “second Atlanta” developing in the South for the same reason. Our city was morphing into something else. We successfully homeschooled our two as the schools were our canary in our coal mine. Now we are retired and 40 miles away in country bliss. No, we didn’t escape all the left handed wing nuts. There isn’t anywhere free from that. The blessings here simply far outweigh the endless curses of the other.
