McGuinty staffer allegedly refused to hand over gas plant documents

The former chief of staff to premier Dalton McGuinty balked at a committee’s order compelling the government to release documents linked to the billion-dollar gas plants cancellation scandal, court heard Friday.

William Bromm, a high-ranking government lawyer, testified he informed David Livingston that the legislative committee scrutinizing the gas plants had the authority to order Energy Minister Chris Bentley to produce any relevant document for “Project Vapour” — the name for the gas plants plan.
