By discouraging criticism of Islam, M103 could make it harder to combat anti-Semitism

The House of Commons has recently been hearing testimony on M-103, MP Iqra Khalid’s private member’s motion, which is aimed at combatting Islamophobia and other unnamed forms of religious discrimination. ‎Disturbingly, some who have endorsed M-103 publicly have asserted that anti-Semitism in Canada is limited to the edges of society, in supposed contrast to Islamaphobia.

M103 is very, very wrong and the Liberals are vote whores and Muslims vote Liberal.

Are Muslims still pissed because Mohamed copied copied most of his Meanderings from the Jews?

    • Alain

Yes and he also mixed in some of Christianity, which makes them second on the hit list. He could not even get either Judaism or Christianity right, which is why it is all such a hodgepodge.

In how many mosques in Canada is this hate speech repeated? Although cast as an invocation to the deity, is it not an incitement to violence and hence subject to prosecution under existing Canadian law? Why is nothing done?

O Allah, show us the black day you inflict on them

The Pandora box of “hate speech”/”hate crime” has been opened and now all the demons are free. It can never be stressed enough that in any truly free society, there is never justification for hate crimes including speech. Personally I disagree with anti-Semitic speech being a crime, just as criticising any religion or religious group should never be a crime. What was already well covered under the criminal code was anyone inciting violence against or the death of a person or a group. Muslims are the only ones doing this and yet we are subjected to this fraud of M103.

      What could go Wrong?
