Academy Expels Harvey Weinstein

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has expelled disgraced mogul Harvey Weinstein from its ranks.

The Academy’s 54-member board of governors — which includes such Hollywood luminaries as Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Whoopi Goldberg and Kathleen Kennedy — held an emergency meeting at the organization’s Beverly Hills headquarters today and voted to strip away Weinstein’s lifetime membership.

His fat body must be rippling like a punched water bed after that toss under the bus.

Methinks they’re getting squirrelly at the thought of more exposures. Kinda like picking the scab off a festering sore.

So Whoopi determined this was “rape rape” and not just repeatedly tasteless solicitations for sex.

But what about the accusations against Oliver Stone and Ben Affleck?

Oliver Stone and Ben Affleck are supposed to be freed of sin by the crucifixion of Harvey Weinstein for his sins, but it it’s unlikely that will turn out as the atheist Hollywood thinks it should, as Harvey is not the Messiah and Hollywood doesn’t really understand Christianity.

I bet her name wasn’t originally Whoopi Goldberg!

They expelled him for getting caught.

Was there a straw that broke the camel’s back? Why now?

I think Weinstein just got too cocky for his own good.

Getting away with crimes repeatedly and for a long time tends to make bad guys think they are bulletproof. They then get more arrogant and start making mistakes that land them in trouble…

They probably aren’t mad at Weinstein for his perv antics. They are more likely mad because he was dumb enough to get caught and brought negative attention to the corruption of Hollywood. The same thing more or less happened with Anthony Weiner, and the Dems have effectively given him “unperson” status for creating a key weakness that cost them the election…

This was one of those open secrets that everyone new about and for decades. So much going on right now that my radar is going boing-boing-boing. So I ask again: Why now? And what was the lance that burst this pus-filled pimple?

It was apparently an actress coming forward on Twitter and outing Weinstein for his antics.

Good thing that his expulsion has forever solved the problem of the Casting Couch, a problem which never existed before Weinstein and will now never happen again. /sarc

It will even bring respect to actors, whom Alfred Hitchcock likened to cattle.
