Cleanup Crew?: “Break-In At Las Vegas Shooter’s Home In Reno Confounds Police”
There’s no longer any reason to believe the police in this case.
The dramatic changing of the timeline on when security guard Jesus Campos was shot was the final straw.
Listen to the Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo BS his way through explaining the change, insisting it was “minute.”
Incompetent, corrupt, or both?
The Boy Scouts announce plans to admit girls
Today, the Boy Scouts of America Board of Directors unanimously approved to welcome girls into its iconic Cub Scout program and to deliver a Scouting program for older girls that will enable them to advance and earn the highest rank of Eagle Scout. The historic decision comes after years of receiving requests from families and girls, the organization evaluated the results of numerous research efforts, gaining input from current members and leaders, as well as parents and girls who’ve never been involved in Scouting – to understand how to offer families an important additional choice in meeting the character development needs of all their children.
More than 32,000 asylum seekers have arrived in Canada so far in 2017
On average, $15,000 to $20,000 is spent by different levels of government on each asylum claimant, according to Michael MacDonald, director general of the operations sector of the citizenship and immigration department, though “it very much does vary.”
MacDonald and other officials from the RCMP, the Canada Border Services Agency and the immigration department delivered a briefing on asylum seekers Thursday morning to the House of Commons committees on public safety and immigration.
Between January and August, 13,211 asylum seekers have entered Canada through irregular border crossings, the vast majority in Quebec.
6th-grader’s homework on gay, lesbian, transgender ‘identity’ leaves mother furious
Kids graduate high school without being able to do math, but that’s ok. At least they’re studying sexual orientations, and that’s what public education is all about.
DeKalb County Georgia’s Lithonia Middle School gave their sixth graders a pretty interesting assignment in health class recently. They were assigned a quiz wherein they were given the definition of 10 “sexual identities” and had to provide which identity (gay, bisexual, lesbian, etc.) fit that definition.
Toronto District School Board to remove ‘chief’ from job titles out of respect for Indigenous communities
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) will stop using the word ‘chief’ in job titles, citing respect for Indigenous communities.
The TDSB said the decision was inspired by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) final report, though the change is also part of a larger initiative to rename titles within the board.
While the TRC report did not explicitly call for the removal of titles such as chief from non-Indigenous applications, it did call for improvements to education, language and culture.
