Trump administration cites Edmonton attack in call for immigration changes

The Trump administration wants to change the immigration rules that allowed a man accused of perpetrating a terrorist attack in Edmonton last month to evade a U.S. deportation order years ago and come to Canada.

The White House also wants to tighten security along the U.S. border with Canada as part of a plan to toughen immigration controls across the country.

This could be the start of something wonderful…if it’s carried through the way I hope it is.

whew.. PM Jacksnot seen throwing his hanky at Butts for this

    • Alain

That just won’t do, since we cannot see his socks.

  • It makes sense to me. I mean if Canada is accepting U.S. refuse with such ease, naturally the Yanks are going to worry that they can just as easily return to the U.S. illegally again, and can cause who knows what kind of trouble again, or can be escaping what kind of trouble they may have even caused in Canada as well. Justin has just created a safe house for criminals and ne’er-do-wells. Especially now that the secret is out — they’ve seen the world’s longest undefended border for themselves, and crossed it. Thousands of miles of unobstructed crossing. Trudeau thinks he’s fucking the U.S. (i.e. Trump). But the moron is fucking Canada — sharing an undefended border with the world’s wealthiest, most powerful Nation is a privilege, not a right. Who else does that?

Turdopes old man was all about fucking Canada (especially the West) , the flamer is just carrying on family tradition.

    Kumbaya Justine ?

Our border has been a sieve for malcontents criminals and illegals entering the USA for decades….and .the Yanks have complained for decades.
Now Canada is on the receiving end ….

Enjoying the blowback Justine? I know Canadians are not. But thanks to you it’s going to be a nation destroyer.

If we Americans don’t tighten security along the Canadian border, who will?

    • Alain

Right you are, because it sure as hell will not be our government.

  • But he’s right.

Not that his leftist detractors care.

I was working near Zero avenue (defacto US-CAN. Border) in Langley a while back. its two country lanes on the 49 th parallel with a gentle ditch in between. but apparently a breach including traffic accidents will bring down dozens of White US official SUVs and dozens of black RCMP vehicles there is also a black hawk helicopter that patrols regularly, it may look placid but there is a lot of surveillance and cameras along with the garden sculpture obelisks every 50 feet. still there are reports of Mexicans hitch hiking up 176 heading north.

Prairie sections not so much, it’s wide open and easy as hell to cross undetected. Same with chunks of BC, the terraign, tree canopy and animal life
makes it next to impossible to effecttively guard without a large presence
      of people using their eyeballs.

There’s alwys a way around technology..
A sheet of glass defeats FLIR with ease.
there are even suits that do the same thing.

So what happened in Edmonton was preventable, and Trump wants to take steps to prevent such things from happening again. Looking at the many comments opposed to it, you can see why so many governments can get away with considering their citizens expendable. Apparently, many of the citizens are in agreement.
