Germany: The Progressives’ Post-Election Meltdown

The German voters certainly spoke in last month’s general election, but the establishment in Berlin is having a difficult time coming to terms with what they said.

The right-wing Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), winning 12.6 percent of the vote, became the third-largest party in the German parliament by securing 94 of the 700-odd Bundestag seats. In states that used to be East Germany, the AfD got 20.5% of the vote, second after Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats (CDU).

The election result was not only a big breakthrough for the AfD — created just four years ago — but also a historic debacle for the two major parties that have dominated the country’s post-war political landscape for almost seven decades.

The efforts to shut the AfD out of chairmanship of committees and generally deny them the rights and privileges that the voters gave them is like what the Swedish parties are doing.

And actually, the reaction of democrats and progressives to the victory of Trump has been to attempt to override the election results (remember the recounts?) to deny its legitimacy, to interfere with duly elected representatives of the people, and, when all else fails, resort to violence. Seems that they agree with democracy only as long as they are the ones getting the people’s support and votes. Otherwise, they wish to dispense with it.

Just imagine: islam will outlaw this in the West, if they can. Idiots, as much as anything else. (And for me it’s a tossup between pink and blue 😉

There is still an uphill battle against the Islamic Invasion and the EU and EC stated efforts to merge Europe with Islam. just check EU Immigration minister Sutherland (from Ireland), formerly a head of the EC and major force in the EU conquest of Europe by hook or crook.

    Poland is their only hope.
