Attorney Lisa Bloom Drops Harvey Weinstein As Sexual Harassment Allegations Escalate

The high-profile attorney Lisa Bloom is stepping down from her role as an adviser to Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by numerous women of sexual harassment, Bloom told HuffPost on Saturday.

On Friday, television journalist Lauren Sivan told HuffPost that Weinstein trapped her in a restaurant hallway and masturbated in front of her in 2007. That followed a Thursday story from The New York Times detailing several sexual harassment allegations spanning decades. The Times said Weinstein had made legal settlements with at least eight women.

I wonder how long she knew. I wonder how many votes she cast.

I wonder what offer Harvey made to her for ‘payment’?

Until now I have avoided commenting on this story, but here goes. Why did none of these women complain or do anything before, and in fact more than one kept coming back for more? It used to be that most women placed importance on their reputation and would not have accepted to be alone with a man, who was not her husband or family, and if in spite of that some POS like Harvey tried anything a stern slap on the face ended it. Otherwise it became rape which was dealt with as such. These situations are another result of Western feminism, so I have no sympathy for these women come late.

Be nice to lefty multimillionaire rapists/ perverts on your way up.
Until they either crash and burn or “MSM protection” evaporates.

Because the casting couch has been around for 200 years.

Everyone knew but he did something recently that made him a liability to someone big and they gave the word to the NY times to finally publish all of this as a way to punish him for recent thing.

I wonder what that one thing was?
I say it was too long since he had a hit movie. He was washed up.
That’s all it took, or do you think it was something else?

        • Exile1981

Why throw him to the wolves now? If it was just him washed up then they would have waited till they needed a news distraction. They did it now during the LV attack, which they want to keep front and center for gun control. This distracts from LV; so unless the LV incident needs to be off the front pages for some reason the timing doesn’t make sense as a distraction.

Either he went after someone he was told not too – look to see becomes the next big starlette over the next year.

Or he was told to fund something and he didn’t – look at his written response to the allegations he says he will be funding an anti-trump movie. It’s possible he refused to fund it knowing it was going to flop or he’s offering to buy back his way into protection.

Or he refused to give generously to certain people since he is hurting financially and this is a warning to others that they need to be ‘generous’.

Or possibly he just pissed off Carlos Slim, it was the NYT that is pushing the story and one of Slim’s daughters is a writer trying to break into Hollywood.

Thats pretty funny. An attorney and flack who’s only job is to fight against smears fires her client because she’d have be a flack for him. I guess he suffers from a lack of ovaries

Just another rat deserting a sinking ship. So long as she figured he could pay her the exorbitant fees, she was good with whatever he did. Now she figures said fees are either no longer forthcoming, or won’t be sufficient to cover her losses from other clients should she still act for him.

He was just exercising his sexual preference. According to Jian Ghomeshi “sexual preference is a human right.”
    So what’s the problem?

    • Alain

It is also a Canadian right thanks to judicial activists adding it to the charter. Yes, I know they framed it as sexual orientation, but it really is the same thing.
