Saudi women to be allowed driving licences

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has issued a decree allowing women to drive for the first time, state media say.

Government ministries are to prepare reports within 30 days and the order will be implemented by June 2018, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world to forbid women from driving.

Not a good idea…look what happened to Switzerland when it became the last democratic country to allow women to vote…Good, solid, indeed stolid, Swiss virtues like no welfare and pay your own medical bills, not to mention bank secrecy, went down the caring sharing toilet.

I suppose the good news here is that driving itself will end in the next twenty years when self driving cars will become mandatory because, well, the children but impairment laws will remain in force, because nanny state.
