Saudi cleric suspended over ‘quarter-brain’ women drivers quip

Saad al-Hijri was suspended from all religious activity after advising against allowing women to drive in a speech that contained comments “diminishing human value”, the broadcaster quoted a spokesman for the governor of Asir province as saying.

Crap. He embarrassed the Soddies by stating their beliefs.

      Maybe he was confused by one man and four women are allowable in a muslim marriage, and thus equates four women to one man.

      If Saudi Arabia was like the old communist countries, he might have been arrested and prosecuted for, ‘Revealing State Secrets’, for publicly stating embarrassing generally-known facts.
