A wannabe jihadist who killed his wife in front of their young children and cut out her eye has pleaded guilty to murder.
The 36-year-old man showed no emotion as he pleaded guilty to a single count of murder in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
He cannot be named – and neither can his wife – because of a court-imposed order to protect the identifies of their three children.
The former builder murdered his wife in their Melbourne home on June 17 last year.
After dumping her body, the man drove his children to a bakery and bought pastries. He was arrested about three weeks later.
