M-103 talk turns to prosecution, censorship

After the first M-103 hearing on Monday, I wrote that we were perhaps facing a less adversarial process than expected. Liberal MP Iqra Khalid was conciliatory as the initial witness, emphasizing that her motion to tackle discrimination was equally about all religions and races. She hardly mentioned the ill-defined phrase Islamophobia.

How quickly things change. Wednesday’s hearing confirmed some of Canadians’ worst suspicions about the process and its effects on free speech.

  • Liberal Progressive

Maybe it should be a criminal code offense to offend any Muslim to prove Canada isn’t Islamophobic?

That’ll show them who’s in charge!

    • Damn right!

    • jayme

They seek to use islam as a tool to control society; this will backfire on them but it’s small consolation to the rest of us since we will all pay a very high price for the importation of islam into our nation, and then incubating this virus.

We saw with the controversial section of the Human Rights Act that was used against Mark Steyn and others, that once these things are in place, repealing them (indeed, keeping them from growing) is a huge and slow process. If there is realistically to be hope of some free speech in this nation, M103 must be stopped before it becomes law.

    • Alain

Exactly! That is an excellent example of what happens and never think it won’t be the case with M103; in fact even worse.

    • If they want a war we will give it to them.

      • shasta

One can only hope, but I wouldn’t count on it.

  • This was the whole plan now in motion.

Is anyone going to make his or her MP regret voting for this fascism?

    • Alain

Impossible here, since our new Liberal MP won through voter fraud and cannot be bothered to respond to people in his riding.

      • Show up at his office.

        Oh, wait …

A mother with an autistic son did that and he called the cops on her.

    • Bla Bla

I think we have gone plaid. In all seriousness though, I don’t think we’ll survive this. Once the libs get their 193000 salvadorians along with another 65000 hondurans strategically relocated into close race ridings, we’lll have the chinese style dictatorship blunder boy so craves.

What was it that Winston was told in 1984… Ah yes –
There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always — do not forget this, Winston — always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever.

      As for going plaid…

      • John Boy

There’s only one thing that can sterilize against this virulent infection.

        • Bla Bla

Sweet sweet nuclear warfare – the ultimate reset button.

      • This is why I keep asking for that no-confidence motion.

        • Bla Bla

Indeed – but we need leadership that is welling to do so. Scheer is showing that he is also part of the Canadian UniParty everyday – just last week he was apologizing to that vapid moron mckenna for being called ‘barbie’… Talk about thin skinned – they certainly don’t mind calling us who don’t believe in their socialist bullshit names all the time…

          • We need riots.

            It’s a start.

          • Bla Bla

Perhaps it’s time we use the left’s playbook against them.

          • They’ll even tear that up as soon as possible.

  • Tooth&Claw

The appropriate response to this is to speak loudly and clearly about what Islam is. Do not cower and stop speaking because these buttwipes and craven politicians who don’t have a spine, don’t like it.
Use their own damnable book of terror against them.
Don’t back down or we will have no means to express ourselves legitimately, ever again.

What demonstrates how “Canada” is doomed is that under the law, a person can immigrate, run for office in an immigrant riding of block voters, then proceed to amend the laws to comport with the place they couldn’t, apparently, wait to get away from.

And we have a large body of those “Canadians” who will always refer to the place they “fled” as Home. Obviously, “Canada” is but a place to fleece.

But so long as it’s not illegal, it’s all good. The insightful Mark Steyn says, “The next phase of a nation after multiculturalism is Islam.”

Canada has been around long enough that only native Canadians should be eligible for any elected or appointed government office.
