TV Series Contracts Trump Derangement Syndrome, Bombs

What is it about people who work in the entertainment industry that makes them think anyone is interested in their politics? The “American Horror Story: Cult” series premiered this week and was a little heavy on the “resistance.”

Hollyweird doesn’t care about producing interesting or amusing entertainment for the public. They would rather make edgy statements of liberalism that demonstrate their hip cred to peers.

” what is it about people who work in the entertainment industry” …?
It’s the narcissism. Trust me, it’s the narcissism.

“Now that I have told you all about myself, I’d like to hear your views about… me.”

  • It’s like people are getting tired of constant heavy-handed commentary and put-downs.

What will Hollywood do next? Are there any fresh Nixon jokes to tell?

    • DavidinNorthBurnaby

That reminds me of one night when Gabe Kaplan was on with Johnny Carson. Johnny said ” what can you say about Richard Nixon that hasn’t already been said?” Kaplan replied after a thoughtful beat, ” He likes fat little boys?”

There’s a great deal of Hollywood that’s little more than money laundering now. They make shit they know is shit so it fails. As long as they turn dirty money into clean money is all that matters. Between the Chinese, the Mideast and the Mexican cartels there’s plenty of money laying around that needs tidying up.

China is their big market now. Expect more made in China movies about the brave People’s Army fighting monsters from space. Funny how the social warrior actors are not bothered by the fascist actions of the Chinese. They know where their bread is buttered.

Sjws are fine with the PRC because they’re a bunch of fascists themselves.

Hollywood? You mean the people who think Scientology is a real religion?

    • DavidinNorthBurnaby

That’s them. Apparently, they also think Islam is a religion of Peace. Go figure.

They’re pretty much turning off any interest people once had in their product. Twenty somethings barely watch TV and are often too financially strapped to go to a movie. Others like me have cut the cord and selectively watch what they wish to, when they wish to.

Hollywood writers write for each other, not for their audience.

I think they also see themselves a divinely chosen to change popular culture to their own views and beliefs.

To watch pretty much any TV at this point involves looking past liberal propaganda. I gave up on this show (AHS) a couple seasons ago when they presented a mixed-race couple where the husband was black moving out of the city because he was a victim of white kids playing the knock-out game and that scenario was presented as a realistic representation of what that crime wave was about.
