Germany fights to stop ISIS schoolgirl, 16, being executed in Iraq after she was captured with jihadis in Mosul

Iraqi authorities have opened criminal proceedings against a German schoolgirl who ran away to join ISIS.

German diplomats are confident Linda Wenzel will be spared the death penalty but fear she could be detained for years in Iraq.

Charges were laid yesterday against the 16-year-old and three other German women captured in the ISIS stronghold of Mosul in July.

I hope the Iraqis shoot her now, and ignore the germans

      They should.

Beheading would work too. (with a dull knife) Ya know, keeping with tradition.

So, Ms. Wenzel, are we having any fun ? Guess the running away to join isis hasn’t exactly turned out the way you expected. Oh sure NOW you probably are begging to go back to Germany and fully expecting to be treated fairly. After all you REALLY didn’t do anything while playing around with your isis buddies. You say you were brainwashed? Well, first one must HAVE a brain and, looking at you, well you don’t appear to be too smart. And you’re ugly too.

No one forced her to join; hold her accountable and execute her.

If Ms. Wendel can make it to Canada, she could be in line for a federal cheque foe $10.6-million.

That’s it, keep rubbing it in. /sarc

The unfortunate part of this is that as a teen she made a mistake, and this one is looking like a mistake she won’t recover from, like a car wreck.

    • The Germans should do what they can for her. She’s a 16-year-old girl. I guess I’m not such a tough guy that I want to hang someone who fucked up royally – and God knows something helped drive her to it – when she was 14 or 15.

Life imprisonment, at the very best and most merciful, BM. Frankly, I’m not sure this bimbo is worth the taxes to keep her alive, however. As for rehabilitation, I don’t believe in it at all.

Live imprisonment in Iraq is a lot shorter than in Germany and it not our taxes.

        you are wrong

When one travels they are subject to the jurisdiction and the judicial system of the place they travel to. I wish all of those who come whining to their home country’s government when they get into trouble would master the simple concept.

On the bright side – maybe she’ll get 72 young male virgins.

Iraqi security sources previously said she worked with the ISIS ‘morals police’ responsible for women adhering to strict dress codes.

Read here about the morality police:
    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/191400
Excerpt: “In Mosul, a center for ISIS in Iraq, the city’s morality police regularly beat women with iron rods who are not dressed modestly (…)”

If she was part of this, I don’t feel sorry for her.

I’m surprised that the Iraqis took her and the three other women as prisoners as don’t they normally shoot to kill? Must have decided that rape and torture of these women might be exciting. I’d rather be dead.

My sympathy, about zero. Kiddo, you play with the bulls and you’ll get the horn.

Y’know; I contrast her situation ie voluntarily, with that of all the hundreds of young Yazidi girls who were raped, enslaved, or murdered and my heart is hardened.

It would have had to have been by artificial insemination.

  • Why spare her?
