Trump expected to end ‘Dreamers’ immigration program

President Trump has decided to end the Obama-era “Dreamers” program, but not for another six months — giving Congress the chance to act, a report says.

Sources told Politico that the White House plans to do away with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, also known as DACA, despite facing backlash from both sides of the aisle.

The program will be pulled approximately a half-year from now, allowing for lawmakers to figure out what to do with the estimated 800,000 undocumented immigrants who are benefiting from it.

sounds like he plans to break his promise by getting congress to do the dirty work for him

Playing Chess. The gambit is designed to expose the RINOs in Congress just in time for 2018 primaries.

If Congress does indeed do that, they clearly would have done so no matter what he did. The only thing they have successfully passed so far has been the Russian sanctions, because that is what the Deep State wants. This way he gives them some cover to go against the Kochs and Soros and Gates and Buffet and the Rothschilds and the rest.

And by the way, the so-called “Conservative Caucus” can stop this if they want to do so. The bill will not come to the floor without the approval of the Speaker. And the so-called “Conservative Caucus” has enough votes to remove Lyin’ Ryan from the Speakership if they care to do so. Of course, if they are instead just Koch-sucking Rove Republican swill like the rest of the GOP, then they are only playing games, trying to make that elephant-suit costume look more realistic even though it is still draped over their jackass body.

Yes and no. The fact is that Blackula dreamt this up on his own and issued an executive order. It should be Congress that sorts it out. Trump has punted to them in a way but they have 6 months to sort it out or it’s gone.

    • That is my fear.

    • moraywatson

Hmm, no. DACA is nothing more than the executive branch having given guidance to its agencies to defer application of immigration law as it currently exists. All Trump is going to do is tell his executive agencies to start enforcing immigration law properly again starting in 6 months time. Meanwhile, Congress has, and always has had, the ability to draft and pass new immigration laws for the President to sign (subject to Trump’s right of veto, and whatever veto-proof rights the Congress has by virtue of the Constitution.)

But they are just “dreamer” illegal immigrants who under Obama’s edict that was never approved by Congress get to receive all the government benefits entitled to American citizens and are a backdoor to apply for American citizenship.

If Obama put this in by an Executive Order even though it is the purview of Congress and congress has done nothing, Trump cannot expect Congress to act and should just rescind Obama’s illegal Executive Order.

        Agreed.

    • How come Mexico doesn’t want em?

      • WalterBannon

Name one western country who’s government wants their own indigenous people… Our own govt wants to replace us with Muslims and other barbarians. Dumbing down the education system is not fast enough for them, better to import useful idiots.

Junior job thieves — screw them. Go home and quit ripping us off.

Their parents are responsible, not Trump. Of course we are all beneficiaries/victims of our parents’ actions.

    Hallelujah!!!

  • Good.

One rule of law or no law at all.

    • I do not like this 6 mos. thing at all.

      • moraywatson

The 6 mos thing is prudent. To avoid total chaos (some chaos is guaranteed, because the socialists are about to be offended) there needs to be some reasonable notice given that immigration laws are going to be properly enforced again vis a vis illegal minors.

      • Norman_In_New_York

The 6 mos. thing puts the ball in Congress’s court. If they jack off as they have been doing since Trump took office, the repeal will go into effect.

        • WalterBannon

the 6mo thing gets him out of doing anything and lets him and congress play finger pointing games while both sides claim they did everything possible

      • I don’t see why applying legally is too difficult.

  • pdxnag

So, their (illegal) work authorizations and/or (illegal) free stuff authorizations will expire between 6 months and 2 years + 6 months. March 2020 is the end.

If Texas goes to court now to add their DACA claims to their DAPA case then it all ends in a couple months.

The DACA illegals have an issue with the adult that broke the Law and brought them into the USA which was Child-abuse and now we see the results , except that the criminal Adults get a pass and Trump is the evil one.

What’s to stop tourists from bring their children into the USA top live with a relative as they head back home and hope the child gets Citizenship by a future Obama .
If being in the USA for 15 years makes them American….I’ll move into a Garage and after 15 years I’ll tell the CRA I’m a car that doesn’t have to pay income tax.

Oh, please let that asshole Trudeau keep his big yap shut…we are still getting Haitains

But they can’t afford their AIDS drugs so you and I are just going to have dig deeper into our pockets to pay for that. It’s the progressive thing to do for all that want it anywhere in the world!
