The Cook County Sheriff’s Office released a video Thursday of an inmate at Cook County Jail attacking multiple correctional officers before being apprehended. The four-minute-long video captured on August 24 shows an inmate grabbing a correctional officer’s leg and pulling him to the ground before being tackled by three officers. After the officers stepped away the inmate can be seen pacing around the room before attacking another officer from behind. Around six officers using pepper spray to stop the prisoner before grabbing him, punching him in the head and tackling him once more.Three correctional deputies were treated for injuries that were not life threatening, authorities said. The 31-year-old inmate, Austin Allen, was charged with aggravated battery and two counts of felony resisting, the sheriff’s department said. He was originally in jail for a domestic battery case.

Was he on drugs? Because frankly his behaviour is that of someone not in his right state of mind due to alternated consciousness. Well, he’ll get at least 30 years.

Most certainly he was. I have witnessed this kind of thing when I worked for Corrections Canada in a max where a slim built inmate of average height required several big burly correctional officers to manage to tackle and hold him down. Again it was a case of being high on drugs.

What is it with powerful drug like ice or cocaine or whatever that multiplies the strength of these people?

I’m disappointed that they were so gentle with him.

This is the kind of situation where a taser is useful. Cardiac arrest is an acceptable risk.

Hence forth he was known as MAD DOG Allen.
I think some of those guards need more time in the exercise yard than the inmates. Too much sitting with coffee and donuts me thinks

What we see here is a classic example of the need for negroid neutering. Also, it is absolutely stupid to dump a load of pepper spray in a confined area. A baton to the face is far more effective and doesn’t disable your co-workers.
