They even have no idea about knife’s?!?

    • tom_billesley

Britons blithely call any knife in a sheath a “hunting” knife.

      • vwVwwVwv

Don’t know what it may be good for.
I even don know how to ccall this thing, may be exiden?

There are quite a few ugly and impractical novelty blade floating around, mostly as display items. They are often Chinese-made, frequently made from lousy steel and fairly cheap.

If you want a suitable combat-ready blade, original pattern Fairbairn-Sykes daggers (These are still being manufactured by Sheffield, an original manufacturer), and anything by either Ontario Knives (Can’t beat the Spec-plus fighter) or Ka-Bar can’t be beat.

I make my knifes, it’s a nice hobby, all friends of mine love my presents and their
whifes love the way I make their knifes sharp. You named some great names
but I use powder steel (don’t know if the word is right) and have a
Conservative classification, after historic names like
Pugio, Falcata, Scopis, Sicka, Baselars, Sax, Kukri, Bowie……

I’m rather partial to the Roman Gladius and Spatha swords, and the Greek Xiphos sword myself…

          • vwVwwVwv

What do you mean with partial?

          • UCSPanther

“Partial” in English can mean “Favorable towards”. In this case, I am being favorable towards the sword patterns that I mentioned.

          • vwVwwVwv

Yes this on is part of a traditional Georgian outfit, reminds of this kind of swords.

But I don’t make such ones, I prefere the outdoor tool knife,
daggers are for fighting and I want my
            knifes rather to be used
on wood or food than on man. 😉

Anti-social behaviour – code word for terrorist? Just like south-asian code word for islamic? The sooner the politicians who brought this upon us are thrown into mental asylums, the safer our countries will be.

The Met Police “operation bobcat” (not to be confused with the “New Girl” episode) is for plain clothes officers to patrol on the lookout for pickpockets, muggers and other street crime in the area. Perhaps on this stop-and-search they hit the jackpot.

Vague reports is code for MUSLIM .
