Texans deserve Hurricane Harvey because they voted for Donald Trump, Florida professor says

Update: Ken Got Fired!

Does Ken teach your children?

A professor at the University of Tampa has apologised for posting a tweet suggesting Texas victims of Hurricane Harvey deserved the storm because the state supported Donald Trump in the presidential election.

Ken Storey, a professor of sociology, wrote on Twitter: “I don’t believe in instant karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realise the GOP doesn’t care about them.”

    Sociology is fake scholarship.

Only two things you REALLY need to know of society: You survive it or you don’t. How to create fire has a much higher degree of usefulness.

    • ntt1

      sociology is a hate faculty.

How novel, fruit holding a fruit drink …
Ever wish ya’ had a magic wand? Some things are screaming to go POOF!

    • ntt1

I suspect he went POOF a long time ago.

  • Oh, so it’s REPUBLICANS who don’t care about people? How about overstuffed, overpaid, poorly groomed, self-promoting, quasi scientists who think its clever to make fun of people who are fleeing for their lives, abandoning their homes and possessions and (some of them) drowning? Does that make hm a “caring” person?

    “…Ken Storey, a professor of sociology…”

Academics in this field are not the brightest lights in general…

Yes, the very description of compassion, kicking an entire community when they are down. Sounds like the Pharisees in the New Testament asking about a crippled man and who, by having committed a sin, was responsible for his condition, himself or his parents.

And Jesus response was simple: you missed the point. He was infirm so that on his release from infirmity, God’s glory could be demonstrated by a miracle. And we are seeing so much good will flowing from those helping others in Houston – that is a very hopeful thing.

now they have stopped printing degrees on parchment ,a switch to absorbent bar matting might be appropriate particularly in this case,
Even the most worthless degree earns a glimmer of usefulness if it absorbs spills and prevents stains

  • andycanuck

He’s right. BTW, Houston votes Democrat. ;^)

  • andycanuck

I guess someone doesn’t know Florida is in the hurricane zone too. I guess he’s forgotten after the 12 years of no major landfalls since Katrina.

  • Tooth&Claw

You truly are a clueless bovine when you can’t figure out that neither party, and the academics that advise them, really gives a crap about you and will do what’s politically expedient and advantageous at any moment.

“I don’t believe in instant karma”

    I bet he does now…

  • UCSPanther

This is akin to telling a survivor of the Burns Lake Mill Explosion of 2012 that they deserved it because their company harvests lumber.

  • simus1

    Sociology prof?
That would be the where the class dullards the smart commies picked on eventually wind up.

  • WalterBannon

I don’t believe in instant karma but Ken Storey deserves to get run over by a neo-nazi

  • roccolore

    He was fired today.

  • What a useless @$$.

My view is stop engaging in risky sexual behaviour.

Ex-Florida visiting professor, he’s been relieved of his duties.

Do I have to be Captain Obvious?
That argument might work except that hurricane is hitting the same people transplanted from New Orleans. Maybe that karma is stronger? Also, Houston voted blue.
Ken was fired for being rude AND stupid.
