    Just can’t win.
Maybe they should put up some wind turbines alongside the highway; call them kinetic art. That’d make them bulletproof from criticism from the progressives. šŸ˜‰

Oh my God! Another white colonial atrocity. We need a 60 million dollar inquiry into this issue. And maybe an apology from feminist Trudeau.

      Plus compensation for hurt feelings.

They look like some sort of industrial scap that was abandoned at the side of the highway.

They paid a whole bunch of money to a New York artist to erect that scrap.

it’s Postmodern Art; one of the key features of this art is that if you don’t understand it or value it, you deemed to be art-ignorant and requires the advice of a proper Postmodern Art academic expert. It is rumoured that ancestors of these Postmodern Art experts were employed hundreds of years ago were the tailors for many emperors’ new clothes until the bottom fell out of the market after an unfortunate incident triggered by a child’s comments.

Maybe junkies will think it is scrap metal and take it away.

So only 1st nations can design ugly art? Is that what they are saying?

“…offering assistance moving forward.” – better they offer assistant removing the atrocity.

    • Editor

I’m having trouble seeing the offer as an altruistic cultural outreach gesture. This “…offering assistance moving forward.” will cost us millions, right?

      • Frances

        That too.

The salient point is that this thing is an abomination, just like the big blue ring thingie north on Deerfoot Trail. This is the kind of thing one should expect when you have f***ing progressives running your city.

At about 9:02, the presenter talks about musicians singing random notes or playing out of tune. I guess he has never heard about John Cage. That experiment has already been tried.

“Many are voicing concerns and anger over the $500,000 total price tag, the location along the Trans-Canada highway on the city’s west side, lack of local talent and the similarities between the piece and traditional Blackfoot burial structures.”

It didn’t only lack local talent, It lacked any talent at all.

Well…will the Cree and Ojibway start complaining now about Whiteys’ dog houses?
