‘ISIS jihadi’ arrested in Turkey over plan to down a US jet by crashing a DRONE into it at NATO airbase

A suspected Islamic State militant has been arrested in Turkey accused of planning an attack on a U.S. military jet at a NATO air base, local news reports.

Russian national Renat Bakiev had allegedly planned on crashing a U.S. aircraft by using a drone to disrupt its flight at Incirlik air base in southern Turkey.

Bakiev was detained after police surveillance showed him scouting the nearby city of Adana with the aim of carrying out his attack, local news reports.
