Conrad Black: Canada is failing to see the North Korea crisis clearly

It has been painful to read and watch the asinine Canadian media reaction to the North Korean crisis. The focus has not been on the lunacy of the North Korean regime but on President Trump

The Yanks know exactly where Fatboy Fuckhead’s toys are. They could pop a couple of bunker busters in there from 60,000 feet and put him right out of business. But they don’t want to piss off the Chinese — YET.

I’m thinking that we might try an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) to wipe out their electrical grid and bounce them back into the Stone Age.

Black says “Trump was certainly not threatening nuclear war. It is Kim Jong Un that is doing that” I disagree – it was Trump who threatened N Korea with a ” fire and fury like the world has never seen” in response to N Korea missile testing. This was clearly a reference to a nuclear attack – Trump was threatening N Korea with Nuclear war to which Kim Jong Un responded with a threat to attack Guam. It is Trump who is ratcheting up tensions.

Black called Kim Jong Un actions “lunacy” . It’s not “lunacy” for a state like N Korea to want to obtain nuclear weapons. Of course it is very unfortunate as N Korea is the last place we want to see have nuclear weapons but it is not “lunacy” but rather a rational response to the threat of regime change by the U.S. .

Not contempt to ratchet up tensions in N Korea, tonight Trump threatened “military action” in Venezuela. What business does the U.S. have attacking Venezuela? I bet Venezuela wishes it had nuclear warheads! So much for the non-interventionist president. Of course it doesn’t help that every time Trump starts talking like the most hawkish neocon he suddenly gets the greatest press he have ever received and his popularity ratings go up which ensures we can expect more of this lunacy from Trump.

Sorry but it’s lunacy when one’s nation is underdeveloped and its people are enslaved and hungry. A sane leader would have put the money towards agriculture and related technologies instead of going nuclear. Food for the people.
Trump clearly said he doesn’t seek regime change.
Venezuela: in bed with the Iranians. When people are eating their beloved pets, there is a big problem. A hungry people is a civil war in the making and a massive exodus of the population heading towards the U.S.A.

I disagree with every “interpretation” of reality you expressed here. I suggest you seek out medical help. Living in your own snow globe will eventually drive you completely insane.

China controls North Korea through their economic partnership. Kim Jung Un is following China’s orders because Trump is a huge economic threat to China (see America First, tariffs, sanctions…). In other words, North Korea is China’s weapon.

The Chinese economy is headed towards a serious contraction and when this contraction blows up, China will give the green light to North Korea. Therefore, it is wise to hit China economically NOW and not wait for the contraction. Postponing the unavoidable is not an option and Trump knows this.

We don’t have a real media in Canada. We have propaganda outlets for the Liberal Party and socialist special interest groups.
