State Department Officials Quitting Over “Complete and Utter Disdain for our Expertise”

The New York Times reported last Friday that “an exodus is underway” in the State Department. The Times didn’t think this was good news; it gave space to one career diplomat who lamented that there was “complete and utter disdain for our expertise.”

This could be the best news to come out of Washington since the Trump administration took office.

We can only hope that with the departure of these failed State Department officials, their failed policies will be swept out along with them

    Still not tired of winning.

If the New York Times doesn’t think it’s good news, it’s very good news.
    Good riddance.

    • Do you think they are referring to the “expertise” that resulted in North Korea having nuclear weapons? Or perhaps they refer to the destabilization of the entire Middle East. Maybe they are thinking about the marvelous Iran deal. Is it possible that the thought of introducing “a little daylight” between the U.S. and our only dependable ally in the Middle East. Oh, hey, I bet they are thinking about the “intelligence” background they provided to Barackie the O that led him to announce that ISIS was “ISIL” the “JV”. Well, really, there are just so many triumphs of foreign policy that we owe to the bureaucrats, drones and progressive morons that have infested the Department of State. How will we ever survive without that kind of expertise?

      • Maggat

Perhaps you meant to type 0, rather than O. Just asking.

        • I was not unaware of the choice. I am grateful that you closed the loop (circle, O, 0…,)

      • canminuteman

They sure haven’t been demonstrating that expertise have they.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

This will be as consequential as the driving out of the astrologers and alchemists from Cambridge and other institutes of higher learning.
Their expertise is worthless. It’s negative knowledge and worse than ignorance.

  • robins111

Aw jeeze guys. Just how much expertise is involved in kissing Islams ass or sucking up to third world dictators.

    • Clink9

Not sure, but Our Dear Leader Turdo has taken it to a new level.

      DEFCON 5.

      • Minicapt

… DEFCON 5 is “situation normal, no concerns” …

        • Clink9

Nothing to see here, move along folks.

          • Minicapt

You won’t like it if we have to go to DEFCON 6 …

The State Department is the Augean Stables, and Trump is Hercules.

  • Norman_In_New_York

President Truman was referring to the State Department when he said, “An expert is someone who is afraid of anything new, because then he wouldn’t be an expert anymore.

  • The Butterfly
  • Starlord

If you call fucktardery expertise… good riddance.

  • Hard Little Machine

Only way to get these Nazis out is if they quit or die

  • CodexCoder

So if they were so expert, why was Huma Abedin allowed to put State secrets into emails to foreign governments without any due care and attention? Why was Hillary allowed to use a private email server for State business?

Someone clearly doesn’t understand the meaning of expertise or professionalism.

who would’ve thought that the swamp will start draining itself?

    • Alain

It remains far from being drained though.

      • Surele Surele

        it’s a start, no?

        • Alain

          Indeed and that is good.

  • Even Tillerson has come to seem a bad choice. It seems masses of the West’s population, of different classes and ranks, are infected with leftism.

    • Justin St.Denis

Yeah, Tillerson has got to go.

    • Alain

Government institutions are infected with them along with the media, but I don’t think masses of the American population is infected yet. Other Western countries the UK, Western Europe and Canada are a different story.

  • Manual Paleologos

Good. Their expertise is a big reason for our current problems.

    The swamp is draining itself.
