Christie Blatchford: The danger to individual Canadians who won’t toe the party line

How comforting that Canadian police are still vigorously pursuing those worst of criminals. Of course, I mean those rare citizens who say outrageous things

Does the Canadian Justice system have the liberal stamp tattooed on its ass?

    • Clausewitz

Start reading Kafka, because that’s where we are going.

    • WalterBannon

the Canadian Justice system is an ass

this is the system that rubber stamped paying a terrorist for being caught and charged

      • Clausewitz

In Canada we do not have a Justice system, we have a Legal system. Big difference.

  • Tom Forsythe

I really dislike this guy, and think he is doing real harm to the conservative movement in Canada. He offers no real insight, wit, or perspective, but does give the left a symbol to use to discredit us as buffoons.

None of which changes the fact he has the right to speak his mind, however shallow it might be.

    • A Hamilton Guy

I think I read that this guy is a lieberal. If he had been Conservative, he would have been locked up before this for speaking the truth. Why does he want to live in Bramtonistan?

    • Not my cup of tea but anything he has done I am aware of is at best a stretch for a hate crime charge, this is a political prosecution, Wynne wants Muslim votes.

      • Tom Forsythe

She wants Muslim votes, and for non-leftists to keep quiet.

    • Alain

I don’t know the guy and had never heard of him until this, but honestly that does not matter and should not matter. Those who brush it off because he isn’t a guy you would pick as a friend or whatever are making a serious mistake, because this is not just about him but about all of us who value freedom of speech. I am certain that they have no evidence of him being violent or calling for the killing of Muslims, since that kind of thing would have been trotted out from the start. Keeping secret the evidence (heavens they don’t even do that for the worst criminals, at least stating alleged whatever) tells me and confirms that it is purely politically motivated, which in this situation adds up to the state enforcing sharia.

We had all be very concerned about this case regardless of our feelings about the guy.

      • Shebel

This guy is not somebody that anybody with a Political agenda should support.

        Unless you are suicidal.

        • Alain

I strongly disagree, because it is supporting the right to free speech and not the guy per se.

          • Shebel

            This guy supports HIS speech.
            Not free speech.

          • Alain

Can you explain the difference, because that is exactly the approach used by the Left. Free speech for me but not for thee.

          • Shebel

            Hell No I

I don’t even understand why it is such a mystery .

          • Justin St.Denis

Alain, from experience, don’t bother. Your time is too valuable.

          • Shebel

            Such wisdom.

          • Alain

            Got it. Thanks.

          • Shebel

Sorry , Alain—- I don’t want to take your valuable time up with–
            With Nonsense.
            No. I can’t explain it.

            As you were –mutherfuckers-

      • WalterBannon

secret trials with secret evidence are SOP for Kangaroo courts operated by the Gestapo and their SJW judicial minions

all the better for hiding the police state and its crimes against the people from the public eye

      • Tom Forsythe

I thought that was what I said.

        • Alain

Sorry about the confusion, since perhaps I should not have commented as “reply”, as it was meant for all those who due to disliking him choose not to take a stand. I only wanted to stress that the stand is supporting free speech and not the individual per se.

    • Shebel

      I can’t stand him.

  • Tom Forsythe

For me, the truly scary thing about the case is they won’t even tell us which statements prompted the charge.

    • I agree, they claim to have spent 5 months on this investigation, that consumed a lot of resources I imagine, I wonder if it’s just a single incident, more likely they have used a shotgun approach in the hope something sticks.

    • WalterBannon

Rule 1: Facts are verboten in secret political show trials and the truth is not the defense

Rule 2: You are guilty until proven innocent, and you are not allowed to present a defense that introduces inconvenient facts that validate your innocence

  • Tooth&Claw

Would they have been as aggressive in prosecuting a man who spouted similar about Jews?

    • Shebel

      NO!
      Jews are Bad.

    • Alain

Not likely since there are plenty in the region doing that on a regular basis.

      • Tooth&Claw

Then countersue under inequality under the law, or inequal application of the law.

        • Clausewitz

Nice concept, but hey this is 2017 and Trudeau’s Canada.

  • Liberal Progressive

Thank goodness the police charged him.

They need to do everything possible to shut down people who say or write anything that is Islamophobic. If that was ever allowed to happen without punishment, its just one short step away from people feeling it is their right to criticize the government and write things against the Liberal Party!

  • Everyone Else

… and why doesn’t Blatchford/National Post point out that the Attorney General authorizing the Islamaphobia prosecution is a Muslim?

    • Shebel

      I can’t see Christie Blatchford
Backing down to any of you SUCKY –
      Mutherfuckers..

      • El Martyachi

        She’s rather elven.

  • Justin St.Denis

Keeping my eye on the real estate market……

  • Shebel

    I guess Times have changed.
