There is a distinction between the default liberal, who doesn’t really think about politics, and the true believers.

I argue with the true believers all the time.
      It’s easy.
What pisses me off the most are the casual socialists who just do not know any better.

progressives ( not liberals, that was hijacked and destroyed) are just exhibiting religious mania similar to Christian zealots who walked to Canterbury with a stone in their show or wore hair shirts to mortify the flesh.
as before, it was virtue signaling yet no where near as destructive as embracing post modernism and dragging in extremely hostile ideologies that are imported strictly for their shared hatred of all western civilization
End times nihilism was always with us but now it has seized the levers of power.

Canterbury used to be the Vatican of Britain and long pilgrimages were common ( see Canterbury tales by Chaucer)but to add to their piousness bodily injury was inflicted to prove the penitent was above mortal desire. . it was the same pious virtue signaling progressives radiate today.

    • The difference between penitents at Canterbury and regressives (there is nothing progressive about them) is that the penitents believed in something higher than themselves. The regressives are just neurotic.

I used to have a problem with progressivism as a term until i realized exactly what they want to progress to. as long as they own up to the horrible world they trumpet i’m ok with the term, but i ensure all baggage goes with it.

        • I refuse to use their language. It is dishonest in every respect.

Also, it fries them when you refuse to use their terms and euphemisms.
