Justin Trudeau So Loved Fidel…

“There’s water that won’t stop running, there’s toilets that are overflowing … there’s dust flying in the air.”

And that’s in a Cuban Hospital.

Other than that, how was your vacation in socialist paradise?

    • Heh;)

    • Clausewitz

Never been. Was looking for a quicky holiday in the Caribbean. All the cheapest resorts are in Cuba because of the slave labour. We settled on the Dominican Republic.

      • Did you try the Caymans?

        • Clausewitz

I was up for something different, but the wife wanted to go cheap, so it’s DR for us.

      • Millie_Woods

Sounds like a good choice. Everyone I know that went to the Dominican said they really liked it.

Justine has more affection and political regard for a murdering communist leader of a police state than he has for Canadians.
As Orwell said you have to really focus on what is plainly obvious in order to absorb it fully.
Communist demagogue good…..traditional conservative Canadian values not so good.

One has to question the wisdom and or parenting skills of someone who thinks a “fun filled family vacation” to a third world country in the tropics in July is appropriate for a sixteen year old let alone a seven year old.

Poor Cole did not have any symptoms of appendicitis but they operated anyway. He is no better now. Sounds to me as if this was a “team” diagnosis — they operate by consensus.

I really hope that he gets well enough to fly back to home where his care and the conditions MAY be marginally better. But this awful story should serve as an object lesson — THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH AND IF SOMETHING IS TOO CHEAP TO RESIST THERE IS USUALLY GOOD REASON.

I notice vomiting wasn’t mentioned in the report.

  • Clink9

Canadians will do anything for a cheap vacation.

    • David Murrell

Clink, you got to the heart of the matter. Cuban vacations are cheap, and most vacationers there are too apolitical or indifferent to care about the stark human rights violations there.

      • Clink9

I know way too many people that go there for a cheap holiday.

If I want warm weather it’s off to Florida.

  • Micky C.

Not that I would go back to Cuba while Raul is still alive. But i wouldn’t let a clinic there tweeze a splinter.

    • The Butterfly

But Michael Moore told me they have the best health care system in the world.

      • Clausewitz

You hit the punch line up front. Michael Moore indeed.

  • Tooth&Claw

You expected first class medical care in a country that can’t even provide for it’s own citizens. You didn’t notice the crumbing infrastructure, ancient vehicles and desperate people, did you?
Mexican hospitals don’t even have rubber gloves for staff. Give that a thought. Infection Prevention and Control in Canada, the Europe and the U.S would have a cow.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

Cuba reports a lower infant mortality rate than the United States.
You know how they manage to get a better outcome with less resources?
They LIE about their infant mortality rates!
    That’s how.

  • Why did they go to a sh—y Third World country?

My sympathy for such things has waned. People go to Cuba for a cheap holiday without a care in the world for those who suffer under communism.
