Kat Von D disqualifies national art contest winner for supporting Donald Trump

Scratch a liberal, find a bigot.  On Friday, the Wichita Eagle reported that Gypsy Freeman, a woman who splits her time between Wichita, Kansas, and Florida, was declared the winner of a national art contest sponsored by Kat Von D Beauty and was set to receive a prize package worth about $2,100.  That is, until an Instagram user found a post on her page supporting Donald Trump.  Once that was made known to the company, Freeman reportedly received a message from Kat Von D’s Instagram account informing her that she was disqualified.

    If that’s a Democrat then I’m a Republican.

Sue. One’s political views do not disqualify one’s competence or ability in creating art. She won, fair and square.

If political views were not listed as a factor in the rules, then sue.

Yup and that’s a hard lesson Kat von dumbgirl will learn. And if ahe has any sponsors she’ll be dropped like a radioactive rod.

Kat Von D Beauty is held by Kendo Holdings, which in turn is held by LVMH, a public company headquartered Paris.

If I were a senior executive with LVMH, I would have a discussion with Kendo and Kat Von D Beauty, with the topics of “ethical corporate behaviour” and “not alienating our clientele” high on the agenda.

That’s very useful because no one cares if Kat is boycotted and protested but LVMH cares if LVMH is boycotted and protested

Who else here dreams of a day that a time-traveling Hitler steps out of the TARDIS and suddenly has uncontested power over the United States, just so all the leftists can see what “literally Hitler” literally means?
    Just for a while.

What would you expect from a stunned “expletive” covered in tramp stamps.
    Welcome to the new age.

Von D’s going to look ‘great’ with that tattooed body at aged 80 – but I suspect she’s never thought about ever reaching that age, or maybe deliberately plans never to get that old.

That level of inking is a pretty spectacular diagnosis of daddy issues, or, like in the case of one of Jesse James former wives, something they do TO make themselves ugly in propose e.g. they want to get out of the porn biz

I for one hope this goes to court and I hope that the inevitable happens and they rule that you can discriminate based on political affiliation. Can you image when the 9th circuit rules it’s ok to discriminate against someone. It would give Trump the power to scrap the circuit and replace all the judges.

    Pretty sure this is illegal.
Not for free speech but false advertising and breach of contract.
