Burundi Teens Go Missing After Robotics Contest

Police have received reports that two of the Burundi teenagers gone missing after an international robotics competition have been seen crossing the border into Canada.

The whereabouts of their fellow team members remains unknown and the search for all the teens remains ongoing, but Metropolitan Police spokeswoman Aquita Brown stressed that police have no indication of foul play in their disappearance.

The teens seen crossing into Canada were 16-year-old Don Ingabire and 17-year-old Audrey Mwamikazi, Brown said.

Why wouldn’t they come here. EVERYTHING IS FREE HERE!! They should have let their intentions known. Feminist Trudeau could have welcomed them at the border.

    • Have they been given $10.5 million yet?

No he wouldn’t; You can tell by their names, they’re not muslim.

This would have been a much cooler story had they been last seen crossing into Canada ON robots that they had built.

2 wind up in Canada and the other four are being held under mysterious circumstances. I’m guess the 4 four will demand refugee status in the US and the other 2 will demand refugee status in Canada.

Go read WaPo comments on this – 100% of WaPo readers of course blame Trump for this.

After the 2012 London Olympics, 82 competitors, coaches and other back-room staff claimed political asylum in Britain. 52 were granted refugee status and 30 were refused, but two won on appeal. Only 10 were deported and three years after the games the remaining 18 were still in Britain.

Justin couldn’t make it to greet the invaders – he’s busily getting ready to lead the Halifax parade for another pet identity group. Too successful is he!

The names don’t sound Arab but African

I think they can still join Black Lives Matter Toronto and protest historical slave treatment in Canada as well as demand reparations for their Burundi ancestors discriminated against by not being allowed to participate in that slavery.

Aren’t they only supposed to cross into Canada after being so severely frostbitten that all their fingers fall off so they will never be fully productive members of society?

Even if they are the cream of Burundi intelligentsia. Can’t we sympathise with the smartest young people looking around themselves in the USA, and thinking “F*ck going back to Burundi.” And then we see the limits of their intelligence by heading towards Trudeau’s Canada. Balancing the certainty of being allowed to stay by Justin with the long term risk of being in a country run by Justin.
