Liberal Pastor on MSNBC: Praying for Trump ‘Violates’ ‘Principles’ of Faith

The first outlandish statement, that the “extreme” agendas of Speaker Ryan and Leader McConnell were “a form of malpractice that borders on heresy” came from the mouth of the noted liberal Rev. William Barber. That was not all the Pro-Abortion Reverend had decided to say during his time on the soap box though. He raged against those who would pray for the President, assailing:

Rev Barber is a ‘big’ deal here in Raleigh. He and his followers protest inside the state legislature building every Monday.

    • You’re in Raleigh? I used to live in Cary, before all the yankees came.

Ok, it bothers me when “pastors” of any stripe, claiming the name of Christ, ignore scripture. For the record, “Rev.” Barber, from the apostle Paul, with whom you should be acquainted, at least in passing:

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior…” -1 Timothy 2:1-3

While you may not like Trump (as some of us had problems with Obama, and Hillary), the directive above is extremely simple and clear. If you ignore the Book, then your authority as a pastor is moot.
