Why Canadian airport security is exactly as useless and arbitrary as you think

The next time you see Canadian airport security confiscating a half-full bottle of Diet Coke from a confused Saskatchewan grandmother, just remember that you’re not alone in suspecting that this is an utterly flawed system to keep aircraft safe.

In fact, a cadre of security experts would agree with you.

This so-called “security” is a FARCE, a complete waste of millions of taxpayer dollars.

Recently, the TSA did a check of a large number American airports; the undercover TSA folks had loaded hand guns and knifes in their carry on luggage. They ALL made it through 97 TSA “screenings”; the TSA stopped at 97 because they did not want to say 100 out of 100 missed the loaded guns.

I think it’s only fair that the people causing all of the problems get all the inconvenience and expense of full cavity searches, security fee surcharges, and endless lines.
For example, if you fail the paper bag test, you go into an MRI machine for the next 18-hours to see what parts of your brain light up when shown pictures of Muhammad sodomizing a pig.
If we are convinced that you have passed, then you get designated a non-Muslim and next time your security screening will be more pleasant.
If however you fail, or are failed for obvious reasons, then you get a much more intensive screening that could last a few weeks. If you then pass you get strapped onto a dolly with a Hannibal Lecter mask on and you fly with the pets, inside a cage.

You and I both know that is not how it works. There have been plenty of cases where a gaggle of assumed women totally hidden in body bags and only eyes showing being allowed to march right through the so-called security. To add salt to the wound any non Muslim who pointed it out and complained was held by security. So instead of targeting the known group noted for hijacking planes, better to harass a 90 year-old great-grandmother in a wheelchair.

Did I mention also members of the same group often working at airports in the West, even in security?

Oh no, that’s not how it works, but my method is how it should work.

This is why our last few “holidays” have been spent driving myself-driving car.

The only way to vacay, The stress of flying just ruins it for me.

The only real solution is to ban muslim immigration and to ban muslims from flying over our airspace.

So they have to go back to 1972 to find a Japanese Communist Terrorist, 1974 to find a Jewish Terrorist, 1985 to find a Sikh Terrorist. And they call the 2009 Al-Qaeda-recruited Muslim underwear bomber “a Nigerian rich kid.” Gee golly – no mention of the 136 Islamic attacks in 22 countries, in which 1052 people were killed and 1067 injured IN THE LAST 30 DAYS. Not racial, but religious profiling maybe?

“And Israel has indeed faced no shortage of criticisms that their system disproportionately targets Arabs and Muslims.”
Why oh why would that be, maybe because a hugely disproportionate number of arabs and muslims are terrorists?
I cannot wait to retire and get out of the air travel all together.

I felt the same way before I retired. These days, the wife has to talk me into taking a vacation if it involves flying. I simply hate what air travel has become, and what the silent compliance of the citizens around me actually says about them. Frankly, airport security staff would be flipping burgers if they weren’t frisking innocent people for a living. I treat them as such……

“Frankly, airport security staff would be flipping burgers if they
weren’t frisking innocent people for a living. I treat them as such”
I agree, but I ignore them as much as possible and give them nothing to work with, I am not really into anal probing.

Number of terrorists thwarted by the TSA = Zero
Number of TSA employees fired for stealing passengers’ property = 400 and counting.

The joke was; they told me to take of my belt, not realising that around my waist it was quiet safe,in my hands, it is now a weapon. Military trained; I didn’t say a word, just moved on.
