SCHEER: Nobody Believes Trudeau’s Khadr Payment Was About Saving Money

“Nobody believes that Justin Trudeau is trying to save taxpayers’ money. I do think that outrage that’s being expressed by Canadians is certainly more than what the Liberals were expecting. And I think it certainly shows that they are out of touch with Canadians on this one.”

Liberals think that the MP seats in Toronto reflect all of canada and just because the canada-hating racist minorities in Toronto gave them a 39% win……Justin assumed that everyone supports muslims terrorists and would want Omar to have the money and build Jihad camps in canada.
Even the CBC thinks that canada is 70% black, 80% gay, 30% homeless, 60% refugees , 70% single moms , 60% muslims , 40% trans gender, plus just 2 % white Christians that are racists and should STFU.

John Tory is watching Toronto head to a record high for homeless deaths and he must be pi$$ed to see $10.5 million of Toronto’s money taken away from his plans to buy the next election with more free stuff.

The government usually fights a lawsuit to the death.
They will do it to spite their face.
And in this case they have a financial conscience?
    Fuck off!

    • Alain

How right you are. This was another reason why I was furious with Harper for paying out Arar who showed no proof torture nor did Canada owe him anything. I was given the same reasoning, that the courts would have awarded him more had they let it go through the courts. I called it BS and made it clear how disgusted I was with a government I had supported. It was not as big an amount of money, but it was the same line of BS. Yes, I still get furious when I think about that, just as I am now with rewarding the convicted terrorist.

When Arar was an issue, the blogosphere was nascent and I still relied on the mainstream media for my news.
It wasn’t until years later I found out how aggrieved I should have been about his case.
This time it’s a little more than immediate outrage.
This bastage needs to sit down, shut the fuck up and give that money to the families of the people he murdered.

        • El Martyachi

I don’t believe we ever got the full Arar story.

          • Alain

It was well covered by SNN at the time and a few other reliable sources, but of course not on the CBC or MSM that pushed the standard false narrative that he was a victim of horrible Harper, etc.

          • El Martyachi

I don’t doubt that he was wronged, but at the same time have doubts (and have been told as much by someone from Syrian security services no less) about his innocence. He shoulda been snapped up and interrogated here within boundaries of civilized conduct instead of tortured over there.

      • Maggat

Hell I’d have been happy if that asshole just cut me a cheque for only one tenth that amount.

      • The Deplorable Rosenmops

The kahdr payout is much worse. We KNOW kahdr is a terrorist and he got more than 10 times what Arar got. As far as we know Arar didn’t actually do anything. But I agree Arar should NOT have got a dime.

        • Alain

I am not saying that the jackpot for Khadr is not worse, only that it was a serious mistake to grant Arar any payout. Like it or not, it sent a clear message that Canada is a sucker for any such claims, just as Canada is known world wide as Hotel Canada. So no, not even now am I willing to cut Harper any slack for that.

      Bingo, Dance. You nailed it.

Oh, how delicious to be the fly on the wall in the PMO these days. Question of the day: can Mr. Butts engineer a Houdini-like escape or pull a rabbit out of the hat? Stay tuned, folks!!!

  • FivePointSpurgeonist

If this is what passes for “conservative” emotion and anger from Scheer, he should just quit now.

    • Tooth&Claw

I think we also need to put pressure on Scheer.

      • Alain

Yes, make it clear that this is far too weak a stand considering how serious this is, and the contribution to the Clinton Foundation needs to be raised. There is no shortage of issues to raise and hammer home.

  • richard

“they are out of touch with Canadians on this one.” This one and a few dozen others.

  • Shebel

I am a Conservative but ,I must admit, that I find Andrew Sheer’s face to be extremely ‘Slapable”.

    • Justin St.Denis

Given the presence of Liberal PM Trudeau on the stage, if you have to struggle with that sentiment about Scheer you are not really conservative. Cogitate on that for a bit.

      • Alain

For me it is short-pants’ face that gives me the most violent urge, certainly not Sheer.

      • David Murrell

I agree. To many “I am more right wing than thou” types can’t tell the difference between Trudeau and Scheer, which is a bit dumb.

        • Clausewitz

This is Canada. There has only ever been one “conservative” politician elected to office since WWII, and that was Mike Harris. All others have been financial conservatives (somewhat, remember Stanfield and wage and price controls?), but mostly socially liberal (Historical liberalism that is, not LPC liberalism).

  • Watchman

I suspect that Justin thinks of this as a cheap solution…to securing the Canadian muslim vote.

    • Justin St.Denis

Keen political insight will likely be made illegal by Justin Yerface Turdeau during the next parliamentary session. The boy is just begging for a beating…….

  • Jaedo Drax

Has Mr. Scheer contacted the Speaker of the House to request that Parliament be convened to discuss the Khadr payoff?

  • Ho Hum

If I was the leader of the Conservative party I would be a lot tougher going after Trudeau than Scheer has been. Saying he is “out of touch with Canadian’s” sounds like weak campaign rhetoric to me. He should call Trudeau a supporter of Islamic terrorism and a traitor to Canada and demand his resignation and demand criminal charges against Trudeau for his support of terrorists .

    • Justin St.Denis

I can’t disagree with a word you wrote.

    • Tooth&Claw

Write him. Write your MP. This Khadr payment is bullshit

    • Alain

      Hear! Hear!
