UK Politicians Call To End Anonymous Twitter Accounts

Politicians in the United Kingdom are forwarding the proposal to ban anonymity on the Internet following “abuse and intimidation” towards Members of Parliament — specifically of Labour MP Dianne Abbott — online.

If May had won big, as she obviously expected she would, she would be onto this proposal like white on rice, being the proto-fascist she is. Maybe not so much now, in which case another bullet dodged.

I look at it this way. Twitter has mostly replaced mail bombs for anonymous nods of disapproval from Joe Sixpack.
If the European politicos want to go back to the old system…

I have an idea. It would save a lot of taxpayer money if Dianne Abbott simply stayed off the Internet since she can’t handle it. The Internet will forget all about Dianne Abbott in a few nanoseconds, and then we can all carry on. Dianne could even sneak back onto the Internet to check things out and make sure nobody is talking about Dianne Abbott under another name, such as Nigel Featherstone or Reginald Trethewey. Just an idea that popped through my brain about how “ordinary people” handle shit like this.

When I was a child I was taught that “sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me”. Since then it hasn’t bothered me a bit if idiotic people who are of no consequence to me have called me names.

I suspect that is because Canadians routinely tell one another to “Fuck off, asshole!” – while driving, in parking lots, in Crappy Tire Stores, just about everywhere. It is rare for a day to go by without someone calling me an asshole or some other expletive, and telling me to fuck off. My wife, for example, frequently tells me to………

Everyone with a twitter account should block Dianne Abbott.

MP Abbott and other MP backers sound more like totalitarians than public servants.

You’re not supposed to notice that.

This case on anonymous handbills even makes reference to England’s history:

Remember, a thug does not become a saint by joining government. They only become emboldened, like a drunk.

Time for the brits to lock up their politicians for treason. Straight up.
